Crying in the Moonlight


I’m in total darkness,
The only light is from the moon,
My face is wet with tears,
My eyes are filled with sorrow,
My heart is breaking in two.

Under this mask there is a face full of sorrow and pain,
Why did you have to leave me so soon,
At such a young age,
Mother, father,
I love you and I will visit the Memorial Stone everyday until I die,
And every time I do I will stand there for hours,
Remembering the times we’ve had together,
If I wasn’t so foolish back then,
Maybe, just maybe....
You would still be alive.
