Chapter 9 - 18742

When Team Rocket start trying to take over by creating Pokemorphs, who will stop them? A former Pokemorph, that's who! Chris belongs to CM Doujin (animedude@centralpets.com) and Kai, Haru, Kitty, and Tex all belong to me.

Chapter 9 - 18742

Okay, so now it's the SECOND to last one.

Kai pulled out two Pokeballs and recalled Hanabi and Ryura. Kitty continued to float lazily behind her.

Chris looked around, noting that there was no easily-accessible exit from there. "Solaris, Overheat that wall!" Chris shouted, as he released the Ninetales, which sent fire at the wall to their right, the only one without machinery on it.

A large hole opened to outside. Kai walked out through it, and looked at the ground.

Chris jumped through the hole, herding the Latias and Latios inside, the last of which being his own. He then turned to look at Kai.
"Thanks. I really owe ya one," he said, before looking up at the sky.

Kai nodded and said, "It's not me you need to thank. It's Kitty. She started all of this." The Black Mew waved, then flew over to Chris and flew around him a few times.

Chris gave a soft chuckle. "Okay then. In that case, thanks, Kitty," he said, looking at the Pokémon who was now circling him, as a startling thought crossed his mind.
"You know, I don't think they're going to be happy when they find that their boss has been scorched. We better get out of here," he noted, turning to Latias. "Well then. It's your choice if you want to come with us, now that we've helped your family," he told her, as she looked at the others, causing her to display an ability she hasn't yet:
"They won't miss me too much," she replied, flying over to him. "Let's go."

Kai threw a Pokeball and said, "Okay, then." Her Pidgeot, Katana, appeared. She asked, "How far do we go until we quit sticking together?" Kitty flew back to Kai and wrapped her tail around Kai's wrist.

He threw both of his hands to shoulder level, palms up in a wide shrug.
"Your call," he said indifferently.

Kai pointed towards the road they had left. She said, "I'm going back to the road so I can get out of this forest. There are so many places to go. I can't wait until I can meet new friends in new places. Oh, and I might want to invest in gloves."

Chris chuckled. "I guess I'm gonna keep travelin'. No matter how many times I go somewhere, I seem to find new things." He sent out Silver, getting on the dragon Pokémon's back (which looked very strange due to the fact that he himself was taller than the Pokémon) and looking forward. "Who knows. Maybe we might just meet again."

Kai smiled and said, "Okay. I hope I see you again. Kitty seems to like you. When Kitty trusts you, I know you're fine. Plus, I want to know if the seal will have any stange effects on someone who wasn't a full Pokemorph." Before Chris could reply, she walked off with Katana.

Chris looked over as she left, smirking slightly, as he started to follow.
"Oh, come on. I get it," he said as he caught up with her. "Let's go."

Chris looked at her for a second, then look back at Latias, who he had

unintentionally left. "Come on. You don't want to be left behind, do you?"

Latias smiled and rushed up to join them.

Kai smiled innocently. "You get what?" She pulled a magnifying glass out of

her small backpack and examined her scales. She looked at him again.

"Oh, come on. I'm not falling for that again. You know very well what,"

Chris answered, adjusting his glasses with his right middle finger.

Kai bit her finger, apparently testing how strong her scales were. She

said, "No, I don't know."

"Aw, come on. 'I want to know if the seal will have any strange effects on

someone who wasn't a full Pokémorph?'" Chris repeated. "That gives it all

away." Latias, apparently finding this a bit amusing, laughed slightly.

Kai's eyes focused directly on him. She removed her finger from her mouth

and said, "That seriously didn't mean anything."

He cast her a sideways glance. "If you say so," he replied, chuckling and

looking forward again. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small

metal brooch in the shape of an Absol's head and looked at it, turning it

around in his hand before placing it back in his pocket.

Kai resumed biting her finger. Kitty floated around Chris's head and said,

"Mew mew, mew mew mew." (She considers you lucky, and maybe she's even

jealous.)

He looked at Kitty, and apparently understanding, replied, "Oh, really? Me,

lucky? Heh."
He looked forward. "Actually, I was thinking of her as the lucky one. After

all, she's still got some of her family. All of mine really is dead." The

last three sentences he purposely said loud enough for Kai to hear.

Kai glanced at Chris, sighed, and said, "Really, I only have Haru, and who

knows where he just left to. I think you're lucky because you're not

trapped as a half-Pokemon, half-human, belonging to neither group, with

almost no-one like you."

Chris looked at her. "Well, look on the bright side. You've got the

advantages of both humans and Pokémon," he replied. "And, you know," he

continued, "that could really help you some day. You may as well have a

blessing in disguise."

She said, "I have the disadvantages of both groups too. Not to mention how

I look when my true form isn't sealed. That has to be the worst part of all

this." Katana and Kitty watched Kai.

I changed it. Sue me.
