Chapter 1 - raining

I'm not sure you know my name,
You might think I'm more of the same,
That is,
If you even know that I exist.

I watch you talk and see you smile,
I'd like to see you alone for a while,
But that won't happen,
not while I'm alive.

The crowd thins out and you're alone,
you check the time on your cell phone.
I try to get some nerve and talk to you.

Well the thunder rumbles off somewhere,
The rain pours down and wets your hair,
we both end up in the only cover nearby.

Well it's pouring rain, but that's alright,
If it means that were both here tonight,
I'll try to tell you,
How I really feel.
If were both stuck in this place
maybe I'll say it to your face,
maybe you'll realize that I'm alive.

You look and give that smile to me,
I feel a buckle at my knee,
But I just laugh,
And ask about your life.

we talk and laugh and forget time,
but the clouds all part,
And the sun shines.
You turn to leave,
no reason you should stay.

I start to feel tinge of sorrow,

Then you ask me if I'm free tomorrow.
