Altodd: *Is in pain, but is far more embarrassed than anything. He hates that this is happening, especially in front of everyone. He stares at Mia, shaking*

Mia: *makes the mistake of looking at his face, and immediately feels guilty, even though she herself hasn't laid a finger on him. but no, she hates him, she should be glad he's being humiliated, right??* ...

Altodd: *Continues to shake, to stare at Mia. Why does it have to end like this? He manages to bite his bottom lip. If she hurts him before killing him, he doesn't want to give her the satisfaction from his cries of pain*

Mia: Walter, stop Lucifer! *shoves Altodd, trying to get him to leave* WE NEED TO GO! D8>

Walter: *Attacks Lucifer* SCREEEEEEE!!

Lucifer: !!! *Defends himself from the Umbra*

Altodd: B-but Mia, what -- *Sees a VERY angry Lucifer behind her* ...R-Right. D8 *He runs with Mia and catches up to the others, who reach the elevator and immediately shove themselves in*

Lucifer: *Commanding Walter* I AM YOUR MASTER! YOU WILL NOT ATTACK ME, BUT YOU WILL KILL ALL OF THOSE WHO ESCAPED!! D8<

Walter: *Immediately gets off Lucifer and runs to the elevator door, forcing it open and hopping onto to descending box*

Mia: *has backed into a corner of the elevator, away from the others, looking incredibly guilty*

Sarah: *is about to say something, but looks up when she hears the thump on top of the elevator* shoot. We have company. D: *pulls out her gun*

Walter: *Tears open the roof of the elevator* SCREEEEEEEEEE!!

Walter: *Screeches when black smoke leaks out of him*

Altodd: *Can't take out his sword -- the elevator is too crowded*

Walter: *Is being torn open. He eventually falls through the tear he made*

Sarah: *looks over at Mia, feeling incredibly sympathetic--as a former slave of Lucifer's, she knew exactly how Mia felt*

*Meanwhile, a week later*

Altodd: *The stress from losing Mia to Lucifer has taken its toll on him. Altodd is a wreck, and his own admittance of love - both to Mia and himself - only seemed to make things worse for him. What if this ends like what happened to Sam?*

Todd: ... I see Life City.

Harry: About time. I thought we lost ground when Altodd turned a few nights ago.

Sam: Well, we're here now. Let's prepare. <:/

Sarah: ...So, HOW are we taking down Lucifer again? D;>

Key: If we're lucky, we might not have to--we just have to figure out where Mia is. :/

Claire: That's much easier said than done. Lucifer's expecting us. We won't be able to get inside the city without him noticing.

Altodd: Then let him notice! As long as we get Mia back, NOTHING MATTERS! D8<

Todd: Woah, calm down, Alty. D:<

Altodd: I-I don't want to lose anyone like I lost Sam -- N-not again! D8>

Harry: You won't -- But you really do need to calm down, Altodd. Getting stressed out won't help anyone.

Harry: ... We might actually just have to walk into the city. If he notices, let' hope he sics Mia on us so we won't have to deal with him.

Lucifer: *Commands Mia to come to his office with his mind*

Claire: ...Yeah, this isn't good. Lucifer's probably going to be in Occulta's tower. :/

Altodd: *Slams the doors open with ferocity*

Lucifer: Your friends are in the city. In fact, they're in the tower right now and ready to come try to kill me. Not that they can. Mia, be ready to kill Altodd.

Mia: *after a moment of hesitation, she nods* I'm ready.

Sarah: The office is at the top, right?

Claire: Right. We should expect an attack as soon as we step off the elevator.

Key: ...

Lucifer: Good... Because remember, Altodd is the reason why Walter died.

Altodd: *Drops the sword with a loud clatter* D8 !!

Lucifer: Everyone except Mia and Walter, do freeze where you are.

Lucifer: Now Altodd, take off those shoulder pads and bracers.

Altodd: *is forced to do so*

Lucifer: And your pants and boots.

Altodd: *Does that as well, leaving him completely uncovered*

Lucifer: There. Not fair, no, but when has justice ever been fair? Have at him, Mia. Hack him into ribbons.

Walter: Ssss...

Mia: *looks him up and down, then smirks. she leans down to speak to Walter* I'm going to give you a turn. Hurt him however you'd like--just not too badly. Leave some of the fun for me too, hm?

Necromancer: *Approaches her* ... Excuse me.

Mia: ! ...Can I help you? :/

Necromancer: You are Lucifer's slave, correct?

Walter: *hisses*

Mia: *narrows her eyes a bit* "Slave" is a harsh way of putting it.

Necromancer: It's an accurate way of putting it, since you follow him blindly.

Walter: *Continues to hiss*

Mia: *snaps at him* What do you want?

Necromancer: I want this fair city to be released from Lucifer's tyranny. Immediately.

Walter: *Hissing*

Mia: I can't really do anything about that. You'll have to take it up with HIM. >:/

Necromancer: Surely you can do SOMETHING. He keeps you close. Close enough for you to find a weakness of some sort.

Walter: *Hissing*

Mia: *flatly* Lucifer has no weakness. And I have no reason to help you.

Necromancer: ... Once he no longer needs you, he will throw you away like a used toy. That's a reason to help us.

Walter: *Wants to attack the man*

Mia: And how would you know? >:/

Necromancer: Occulta acted just as Lucifer now does. We understand what will happen to you eventually.

Walter: Ssskssrrs...!

Mia: *snorts* Just move along, before I make you. *her hand rests on the pommel of her sword*

Necromancer: ... *He walks off*

Walter: Ssss...

Mia: *watches him leave, then continues walking* Come on, Walter...

Walter: *He looks up at her, still purring. He scoots himself closer to her, placing his long-clawed hand on her arm*

Mia: *lightly touches the Umbra's hand, noticing how cold it was...* ...He loves me, Walt. What do I even say to that?

Walter: ... L'ilk Begetter... *He nuzzles Mia some more*

Mia: *quietly* I can't understand you... *goes back to petting him* ...

Walter: Ssss...

*Half an hour later, Lucifer knocks on their door*

Mia: ! *stands up* Is it done?

Lucifer: Yes. The entire city is under my control. Thank you for staying here, Mia. You're very obedient.

Walter: Ssss.

Mia: *shivers at the pleasure his compliment gives her* Anything for you, Lucifer...

Lucifer: No doubt your friends will be coming here at some point. We must prepare. Altodd may summon those MINDLESS Umbra again. They're dangerous enough alone, but a swarm of them could wipe out this whole city.

Walter: Ssss.

Mia: I doubt that Altodd's the genocidal type... if anything, he's just going to be focused on me. :/

Lucifer: It's not up to Altodd whether or not the city will be wiped out. His Umbra cannot be controlled. They are evil MINDLESS creatures, built to destroy.

Walter: Ssssskkkhh...

Mia: ...Mmh. *pets Walter as a distraction* ...So what do we do before they get here?

Lucifer: Well, Mia, I will remain here for now. You are allowed to explore the city if you like.

Walter: *raises his head up against her hand, nudging it*

Mia: *still pets Walter. she nods* Alright... *shuffles past him, and downstairs, bringing the Umbra with her*

Lucifer: *Watches her leave*

Life City

*Everything is quieter and almost seems dead. The people, while still doing their daily tasks and such, seem unfocused and empty. The only exception are the Necromancers, who don't seem to be effected by Lucifer's control*

Walter: *Stays by Mia*

Mia: *walks aimlessly down the streets with the Umbra at her heels. her mind wanders back to Altodd, and his confession--did he mean that? He could have been lying, saying that just to create a distraction, it's something he'd do, isn't it? a horrid person like him*

Walter: *Trots behind her*

meanwhile

Lucifer: *He looks at the little glass unicorns on Occulta's desk. With a sneer, he crushes one into shards. Nothing will stop him from taking control of every city. Of Concordia entirely*

Mia: *he deserved it, the pain she caused him. he doesn't deserve to live. next time she saw him, she'd... she'd... what? would she be able to do it? would it be right for her to...? of course it would be, she hates him. right?*

Guards: *Catch fire and run, in pain*

Lucifer: *Smacks a few guards away*

Walter: *Sucks away the happiness of some guards*

Altodd: *He tries to stop his crying, and only manages to stop sobbing. He stands up, gently placing his hand on Key's for a second, then lets go* ... We need to get her back.

Harry: HOW, Altodd? <:/

Altodd: ... I don't know. But we need to get to Life City.

Todd: <:/

Sam: <:(

Mia: *burns anyone who tries to shoot at them*

Claire: Lucifer will be expecting us.

Key: We have to try anyway.

Guards: *All end up dead*

Lucifer: Mia, we'll be heading to Occulta's office. There, he has a microphone for the speaker systems around the city. I will use that to project my ever-so-persuasive voice to everyone.

Walter: Ssss...

Altodd: ... Key's right. We need to get Mia back no matter what.

Todd: <:/

*They head to Life City*

Mia: *still a bit distracted by what Altodd said* A well thought-out plan if i ever heard one...

Lucifer: Hopefully we can do this before more guards are called forth. This city is a heavily protected place.

Walter: Eeee...

Necromancers: *Leer at them*

Mia: *frowns at the Necromancers* ...

*One necromancer approaches Lucifer as they walk*

Necromancer: *In a normally quiet monotone* ... What are you doing here, Lucifer? You were banished from this city.

Lucifer: Your mayor is dead.

Necromancer: We are aware.

Lucifer: I'm taking over for him.

Necromancer: And what do you plan on doing with your new position?

Lucifer: "Wreak havoc" would be the honest answer.

Necromancer: We can't let you do that. It is against the wishes of Kyria N'kri.

Lucifer: Your goddess means nothing to me, scum.

Necromancer: ... We will leave you be, but you have been warned.

Lucifer: Yes, and that's very kind of you. *Continues walking to the large golden building once owned by Nox Occulta*

Walter: *Slinks along beside Mia*

*They reach the building and head up to the office*

Lucifer: There's the microphone.

Mia: Fantastic... *pets Walter to distract herself*

Lucifer: *Commandingly* Mia, go into a nice little trance and take Walter to a bedroom in this building on the fourteenth floor. Once you get there, you will snap out of your trance and you will not hear my command to the city.

Walter: *Tilts his head to the side*

Mia: *her expression becomes blank, and she nods, waving for Walter to come along as she leaves the room and heads to the room Lucifer ordered her to stay in*

Walter: *Follows behind Mia in a trot until they reach and enter the room*

Room: *Had belonged to Todd previously, and still bears the deep scratch marks and obscenities targeted at Key engraved on the wall*

Mia: *once she closes the door, she snaps out of the trance, as commanded--and notices the vandalized walls. she's shocked by the horrible things that were seemingly clawed into the walls, and judging from the names and the things said, this room must have belonged to Todd at some point... but why would he ever say such horrible things?*

Walter: Krrr... *He climbs onto the bed and curls up, relaxing on it*

Mia: ... *sits down on the edge of the bed, absently petting the resting Umbra, trying to ignore the obscenities on the walls* ...

Walter: *Snuggles against Mia, nuzzling her leg, purring*

Mia: *pets the Umbra like one would pet a cat* ...I don't know what to do anymore, Walt... What he said, I just...

Altodd: ... I thought... I thought you wanted me to SUFFER... >:/

Mia: *still trailing her burning fingers along his arm* Watching you squirm is good enough for me. I hope you've realized I'm not letting you go alive.

Altodd: ... Then I guess I'll just have to accept that I'm not going to live. I'll see your face before I die. That's good enough for me. <:(

Mia: *this makes her pause for a moment. she stares at him for a moment, then snorts, and pulls away* Then I may as well just end you now. *pulls her sword away from his neck, only to run her fingers along it and set it on fire* Anything else you'd like to say before I kill you?

Altodd: *Tears start to form in his eyes* ... I love you, Mia.

Mia: *freezes, the fire in her eyes and on her blade flickering and dying out from her surprise* W-What?

Altodd: *He immediately uses the opportunity to throw Mia off of him and stumble back to his feet*

Walter: *Screeches angrily*

Altodd: *Runs over and grabs his sword. He's bleeding and burnt, but he's alive*

Lucifer: D:< ...!

Everyone: *Relieved*

Mia: *stumbles back to her feet, pointing her sword ar him, though her resolve seems to be wavering--even the flames she conjured earlier were sputtering*

Sarah: ! *sees the opportunity, and leaps through the weakening flames, shooting at Lucifer* D:<

Lucifer: D8< ! *he moves closer to Mia to avoid the bullets and chooses to grab and raise Altodd by his throat, seeing as Mia is hesitating*

Altodd: !!!!!!

Umbra: *Faceless ones appear and immediately tackle Lucifer, knocking him away from Altodd and burying him*

Lucifer: RRAAUGH!! DDD8<

Walter: *Moves near Mia*

Everyone: D8

Mia: !!!!!! *shoots fire at the horde of Umbra, knowing that she won't really be able to harm Lucifer*

Umbra: *Scream and fall off of Lucifer*

Lucifer: *Gets up and brushes himself off* MIA! WE'RE LEAVING! NOW! D8< *He turns into his demon form and lies down so Mia can climb onto his back*

Altodd: NO!! D8< *Gets out his bow and shoots arrows at him*

Lucifer: *Doesn't care*

More Umbra: *Screech angrily at Lucifer*

Everyone: D8

Walter: *Stays near Mia*

Mia: !! *sheathes her sword as she runs over, then clambers onto his back*

Sarah: *shoots at Lucifer* D:<

Lucifer: *Darts off with Mia on his back as fast as he can*

Walter: *Follows them*

Umbra: *Chases after them*

Altodd: D:> ... *He drops to his knees and buries his face in his hands, shaking*

Todd: <:/ ...

Harry: <:(

Sam: *Looks away from Altodd, sad for him* ....

Mia: *casts a backward glance at the others before her vision is blocked by trees--the last thing she sees is Altodd on his knees. She bites her lip as guilt starts to set in*

*the flames blocking off the rest of the group fade as Lucifer and Mia get farther and farther away*

Sarah: ... *puts her gun away with a sigh*

Claire: ....

Key: ... *slowly approaches Altodd*

Lucifer: *Runs with Mia to Life City*

Walter: *Follows*

Guards: !! D8< *attack, shooting arrows at them*

Mia: ! *ducks to avoid becoming a human pincushion--she retaliates by shooting fireballs at them*

Mia: I have EVERY REASON to fight you, Altodd, it's YOUR FAULT THAT WALTER'S DEAD!!

Mia: *swings at him with an angry snarl, trying to knock him down*

Altodd: *Is slashes across the chest, and he stumbles, gasping a bit and holding where he's been hit*

Walter: *Hisses*

Mia: *to Walter* Help me knock him down, will you? *charges at him, swinging at him again*

Altodd: *He manages to back away from the swing, but is hit in the gut by the suddenly charging Umbra, the wind knocked out of him before his head hits the floor*

Walter: *Screeches at Altodd up close, hurting his ears*

Lucifer: >:)

Mia: *nudges the Umbra away, and pins Altodd down herself, holding her blade against his throat* You really don't know what you did, did you?

Altodd: M-MIA...!! MIA, Y-Y-YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Y-YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING...!!

Everyone: *PANICKING*

Walter: Hssskksh...

Mia: *presses the blade a little closer as a threat, to silence him, drawing a bit of blood. she leans in to hiss in his ear* Walter left a note when he killed himself. He saw us that day when he died. He saw everything.

Altodd: *He actually enjoys it when the skin on his throat breaks, though he tries to not make that so obvious* ... Th-that's why...?

Walter: Ssss...

Lucifer: >:)

Everyone: *Horrified*

Mia: He killed himself because of you. Because of what you DID! *the hand that was holding Altodd down starts to heat up and burn, searing his skin* You deserve to suffer for this.

Altodd: *He shivers, finding the pain extremely arousing* ... I-I'm sorry that... That WALTER is dead, M-Mia... But you have to understand -- I-it was his OWN DECISION to kill himself, not mine, and not yours. It was HIS...! Please, you don't have to do this...! I'm sorry he's gone, Mia... I'm sorry! D8>

Mia: *through clenched teeth* Save your breath, Altodd. Not that you deserve to live, after what you did. *slowly, agonizingly drags her hand down from his shoulder to his chest, bringing the burning sensation with it*

Altodd: *Although his body reacts with sheer delight from the intense pain, Altodd remains frightened by his situation, and upset by what's happened to Mia* ... S-stop doing that or I'll ruin my pants...

Mia: *raises an eyebrow at him, confused, until she feels something bump against her thigh--her confused expression is soon replaced with a sick, devious grin* I didn't know you were into that kind of thing, Altodd. *puts her hand back on his shoulder, and drags it down the length of his arm to his elbow* I'll make this as painful as possible for you.

Altodd: Mia,what are you -- AHH!! D8 *Defends himself with his sword against his own creation. The Umbra is still incredibly fast, just as fast as when it attacks his enemies*

Walter: *Continues to attack Altodd, darting around and swiping at him, only BARELY missing when Altodd is able to pull away*

Mia: >:( *draws her sword, and joins the Umbra in attacking Altodd, knowing full that the others wouldn't risk shooting her*

Key: *can't get any closer to help because of the flames* D8

Sarah: !! *can't shoot at the Umbra because Mia was too close--she aims at Lucifer instead*

Claire: *shoots at Lucifer as well*

Lucifer: *He dodges the crossbow bolt but is hit with the bullet. Not that it matters, as Lucifer is immortal* >:)

Altodd: *Blocks Mia's attacks as best as he can while also dodging the Umbra* Mia, please! We don't have to be fighting! Lucifer's controlling you! D8>

Walter: Begetter, bru'am liwl l'ilk oyu! Bru'am sumt l'ilk oyu!

Mia: He's doing nothing of the sort. I'm fighting you because I want to. >:( *continues to attack him*

The others: *are forced to watch from the sidelines*

Altodd: ... Funny how the Umbra only started helping out when I was the one in control, not Altodd.

Harry: More like a week or so. How fast are your Umbra?

Altodd: Well, you've SEEN them run. They'll catch up to Lucifer within minutes.

Sarah: Then we'll at least be able to know how far ahead of us they are. If we move fast enough, we could catch up before they get to the city. :/

Altodd: I don't know about that. What if they've been traveling at night?

Harry: The Umbra might be able to stop them long enough.

Todd: For HOURS? D:/

Harry: Yes.

Umbra: *Catch up* SCREEEEEEE!!

Lucifer: ... Altodd sent his minions at us.

Key: Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough. :I

Mia: ! *pulls out her sword*

Harry: Come on, let's see if we can catch up to them! D: *runs ahead*

Umbra: *All of them attack Lucifer at once* REEEEEEEEEEEE

Lucifer: THESE ones have faces -- Does this mean they have minds? *Throws fire at the Umbra*

Mia: *steps in to defend Lucifer, shooting fire and slashing at the Umbra* I'm not sure...

Lucifer: ... Let's see. *He manages to grab one by the head*

Umbra: *Suddenly calms down completely*

Other Umbra: *Scream angrily at Lucifer*

Altodd: NGH! *He holds his head with a hand in pain* ... Oww...

Harry: Altodd, are you okay? D:

Key: That means we should probably be moving FASTER.... D8

Mia: *stays between Lucifer and the other Umbra to fend them off*

Lucifer: Alright, creature, attack the other creatures like you. *He then lets go of the Umbra*

Umbra: *Screeches at the other Umbra and starts ripping them apart*

Lucifer: ... Well this is nice. Now we have a pet... Thing. What shall we name it, Mia?

Key: *casts worried glances at Altodd as they run--something must've gone terribly wrong*

Everyone: *runs*

Mia: ...Walter.

Altodd: ... Th-they... They named it Walter...

Todd: Um, well, frack. DDDD8

Harry: One of the UMBRA??

*Still running*

Lucifer: Yes, that's a very meaningful name, I think. *Places his hand on the Umbra's head again* Your name is Walter. You are Mia's loyal pet.

Umbra: *Nods a little*

Lucifer: *Lets go of it*

Walter the Umbra: *Slashes up the rest of the Umbra, who are unable to hurt their brother*

Key: Okay yeah, this is DEFINITELY a problem. D8

Sarah: How far ahead of us ARE they? D:

Mia: *watches the umbra destroy all the others*

Harry: Not TOO far now, if the Umbra managed to catch up that quickly.

Altodd: *Collapses. He can't run while a PART of him is getting messed with*

Sam: Well shoot. D8

Todd: *Picks Altodd up and puts him on his back* Oof! You're heavier than I am... D;

Umbra: *Soon they are all destroyed, the forest floor now covered in a black mist and copies of Altodd's original outfit strewn everywhere*

Walter: Krrr... *Walks over to Mia, rubbing her leg with his hooded head*

Lucifer: Surprisingly effective. Yes, I do believe we'll be keeping him.

Key: *doesn't really know what to expect anymore--if Lucifer can affect the Umbra, then that means their original plan had failed--NOW what will they do?

Everyone: *runs*

Mia: *pets the Umbra, smiling down at it* I like him.

Todd: *Almost as if he was reading Key's mind* We need the faceless Umbra! THOSE are the mindless ones! DDD8

Altodd: *Stuck on Todd's back with an awful headache*

Harry: How are we going to GET THEM, TODD?? D8<

Todd: *Shrugs* :/

Everyone: *Runs*

Lucifer: Good. He will be working with us until he's destroyed.

Walter: *Lets out a bubbly sort of purring*

Key: Would it be possible to get the other Altodd out here even though this one's practically knocked out? D;

Mia: *nods, still petting the Umbra* ...We should probably get moving again.

Lucifer: Life City. Occulta is dead and they need a new leader. I will gladly volunteer, of course. >:)

Mia: *smirks* Sounds like a plan. >:)

Lucifer: If your friends are smart, then they're heading to Life City as well. And that will be quite perfect, I think.

Mia: *her smirk becomes a grin--the opportunity to get back at Altodd was something she wasn't about to pass up*

Lucifer: Hrmph. A shame it's all the way across the land. This would be easier if you could fly.

Mia: Unless you can magically pass on a pair of wings, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you on that one. :(

Lucifer: Ah, well, no crying over spilled milk I suppose. Come, we must walk faster.

Mia: *nods, and follows him, willing to walk however far it took to please her master*

Meanwhile

Altodd: *As he walks with the group, Umbra begin to walk beside him on all fours. More and more show up until he is leading a unit of twenty Umbra* ... Run and find Lucifer. Attack him. Bring Mia back if you can.

Umbra: *They all dart off like large smoking bullets, screeching all the way. Some simply disappear into thin air, most likely phasing through the planes of existence to travel faster*

Todd: Sooo glad they're on our side nowadays. <:/

Harry: Mhm.

Key: *remembers what it was like to have those as their enemies--she shudders slightly*
