Altodd: *Suddenly his personality switches again and Altodd lets out a startled gasp, letting go of Shidako's body and backing away from it, staring* OH MY GOD, oh my god... Oh god... *He wipes the tears from his eyes*

Iratus: *Hugs Zorua, also whimpering*

Blood Puppet: ...

Harry: ... We've won, you know. We've won this battle.

Death City: *Cheering*

*A light drizzle starts to come down*

Lucifer: *Holds his hand out to feel the rain* ...

Claire: *quietly* I don't think the loss was worth it for him...

Zorua: *hugs him back*

Mia: *just watches quietly, still a bit shaken by the sudden personality changes*

Harry: ... No, it wasn't. At least not for the other-him.

Altodd: *He feels more tears come, though they aren't his. He's not the one mourning, though he does feel awful for what's happened to Shidako* D:> ... *He slowly gets to his feet, his pants stained with somewhat dry mud from the light rain, his body caked in a thick layer of dried blood, some of which is his. Not that Altodd minds*

Todd: D:> ... What now?

Lucifer: ... *He walks over to Occulta's body and takes the eyes from it, putting them safely away in the pocket of his coat* ... Now we rest here, in Death City. I think we've all earned it.

Bibentus: *Approaching them* Indeed you did. Thank you all for your help.

Sam: ... Right. No problem. <:/

Blood Puppet: *Continues to stay close and hold Mia, lightly putting his other hand on her shoulder*

Sarah: *to Bibentus* How long will you have us?

Zorua: *remains quiet*

Mia: *appreciates Blood Puppet's comfort, but she feels like she really isn't the one who needs it right now*

Bibentus: As long as you like. We've managed to wipe out the most dangerous army in Concordia, thanks to all of you. We might win this war.

Todd: *looks around at everyone, then back to Altodd* <:( ... *He approaches his counterpart* ... Hey.

Altodd: *He almost doesn't recognize his own voice when it comes out as a quiet near-whisper, broken from what he's experienced* ... H-hey...

Altodd: ... Maybe. I-I'm not too sure.

Mia: *quietly* Just a few cuts and bruises, no big deal...

Key: *watches Todd as he talks to his counterpart, and as he comes back* ..... <:(

Claire: ...We should probably go get cleaned up and rested...

Harry: Good idea, Claire.

Bibentus: You may stay in my tower. I won't charge you, and food will be provided for you all.

*They all head off to Bibentus's tower, their rooms all being two floors above the dungeon. They are surprisingly nice, fit for a living person to stay in with a bathroom and a queen-sized bed in each*

Altodd: *With Shidako gone, he sleeps in his room alone. He showers, then simply lies on his side on his bed, staring blankly at the wall while Neo-Altodd mourns in his mind*

Blood Puppet: *For the first time in days, he takes off his mask and hat and puts both aside, sitting down on the bed in the room he shares with Mia* ... Quite a long day...

Blood Puppet: *Lies down next to her* ... So did you also notice how Altodd seemed to change right in the middle of grieving over the dragon-woman? Like... one minute, he can't let go of the body, then the next, he doesn't want anything to DO with it...

Blood Puppet: I haven't known him for too long, and I hate to admit it, but I haven't paid too much attention to him during the time that I've worked with this group, so I can't say for sure... Perhaps the others know. Or you can politely ask him, yourself.

Key: *quietly* he didn't even bother to take the gun out of my hand before he shot himself in the head with it...

Dragon: *Slams its head into a building, blind and very angry, simply trying to get Shidako off*

Altodd: *watches in horror. He scrambles to his feet and gets out his bow, shooting the dragon in the side with an arrow*

Arrow: *bounces off the dragon*

Altodd: shoot! D8> *puts his bow away and picks up his sword. He is force to swing it at an incoming soldier instead of running to help Shidako. Too many come at once*

Blood Puppet: *Fights off soldiers*

Todd: *Busy*

Everyone: *Fighting*

Shidako: !! *the jolt is strong enough to throw her off, and her head hits the ground, leaving her dizzy. She stumbles to her feet, disoriented*

Key: *downs one of the harpies, snarling angrily at the other ones, desperate to get to the ground*

Mia: *doesn't know what to do...!!*

Dragon: *Uses the opportunity to clamp its jaws onto Shidako's torso, crunching bones painfully and tasting her blood*

Altodd: *Suddenly, upon seeing this, his personality is forced back to Neo-Altodd, and in anguish, he cries out her name* SHIDAKO!! D8>

Umbra: *Many appear and rip apart soldiers that have surrounded Altodd, giving him a clear path to Shidako and the dragon.

Altodd: *Runs over to the blinded dragon, who is unable to see him coming. Full of pure rage, he snarls at the dragon as he forces his sword up between the two sides of its jaw bone and into its brain*

Dragon: *Is dead within seconds, falling over onto its side*

Everyone: *Fights*

Shidako: *painfully pushes herself out of the dragon's jaws and onto the ground, coughing up blood as she gasps for breath*

Mia: D8>!!!

Key: !!!!!!!!!!!! *nearly loses all control to Mehnit right then and there, but no no no no no no she can't she can't--she proceeds to continue slashing the harpies out of the sky, trying to get them out of her way*

Altodd: *Runs over to Shidako as fast as he can, falling to his knees when he reaches her and checking over her massive wounds* Oh god... Oh no, oh no...! Wh-why'd you do that, Shidako...?? Wh... WHY?? D8>

Everyone: *FIGHTING*

Umbra: *Defend Altodd and Shidako*

Blood Puppet: ...

Todd: D8> *tries to not let Shidako's fatal injury distract him -- He keeps fighting*

Shidako: *coughs up another glob of blood before shakily answering him* I-It was going to kill you... I couldn't... I wasn't going to let it... *more quietly, with a slight whine* i can't feel my legs...

Key: *fights and kills*

Mia: *watches* D8> ...

Altodd: *His eyes become wet from the forming tears* I-It'll be alright, Shidako... W-we just... We c-can get you help, you just need to hang on, okay...?? D8>

Todd: *Killing*

Umbra: *Defending and shrieking*

Everyone: *Fighting*

Shidako: *shakes her head slightly as tears form in her own eyes* Th-The hunt is over for me, Altodd... I-I'm sorry...

Key: *kills*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Altodd: *His tears drip onto her. Altodd leans down and puts his forehead against Shidako's, holding the sides of her face with his hands. His throat tightens and he holds back a sob* D-Don't die, Shidako... Please...! PLEASE...! Please, please don't die...

Blood Puppet: *Watches the Umbra kill soldiers. They seem to be doing a fantastic job all on their own. Blood Puppet wonders where these creatures came from, but knows he's seen them somewhere before*

Todd: *Takes down soldiers as best as he can. The Life army is in their double digits now*

Everyone: *Fighting*

Shidako: *grits her teeth, both from the pain, and from trying to hold back a sob of her own* I-I'm sorry... I'm sorry, i'm sorry... *brings a hand up to the back of his head, weakly combing her fingers through his hair--her voice falters* I-I love you...

Mia: *watches this silently, a hand over her mouth, she herself starting to tear up.

Key: *has practically every flying beast focused on her, and she does her best to kill every last one of them*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Altodd: *He finally lets out a sob and his words are broken* I-I love you t-too... *He lightly kisses her*

Everyone: *Fighting*

Umbra: *Defending*

Todd: *Killing*

Blood Puppet: *Puts an arm around Mia, knowing she's upset by what's happening*

Shidako: *gently, weakly kisses him back, bringing her hand down to lightly touch Altodd's cheek with the back of her fingers*

Mia: *instinctively leans into him, unable to look away from the sad sight in front of her*

Key: *kills*

Altodd: *He holds Shidako's hand there, leaning his cheek into it, sobbing and unable to compose himself*

Blood Puppet: *Keeps his hold on her, trying to comfort her*

Todd: *Kills*

Umbra: *Kill*

Everyone: *Fights*

*The numbers are dwindling. Death City is winning*

Shidako: *gives him a small, pained smile, and leans up slightly to nuzzle him gently, before laying back down and becoming still, her hand going limp in Altodd's, eyes blankly staring at the sky. she's dead.*

Mia: *stifles a sob*

Key: *kills*

Altodd: *He cradles Shidako's body, sobbing into her neck, not realizing that this was how his other personality mourned for Sam the second time she died*

Todd: *Can't help but recognize that image when he looks over and sees Altodd. He is distracted and about to get slashed by a soldier he only managed to wound --*

Umbra: *Kill the soldier and continue defending*

Todd: !!

Everyone: *Fighting*

Blood Puppet: *Rubs Mia's side, holding her close*

Key: *knocks a few gryphons out of the sky, then finds herself with nothing to fight--she joins the others on the ground, then freezes in shock when she too recognizes the image*

Mia: *tries very hard to compose herself*

Everyone: *works on taking out or driving away the few soldiers that were left*

Occulta: Have I left you speechless, To -- ? HNAAHHGH?! AAUUHH...!! *he clutches his head after falling off his horse, writhing on the ground*

Life Army: !!!

Todd: *Glares at Occulta. He's doing this to him using his mind powers*

Lucifer: !! TODD, STOP!

Todd: *Ignores Lucifer*

Todd: *Just keeps concentrating on Occulta*

Occulta: *Writhes even more until blood leaks out of his ears and his eyes roll into his head, finally becoming still*

Life Army: *With their mayor dead, they are fueled with the rage needed to avenge him and take Death City. They charge*

Todd: DD8< !!

Lucifer: GODDAMNIT, OCCULTA MADE THE PERFECT MARTYR! COME ON! D8< *chucks fireballs at the army*

Altodd: *runs and climbs up the nearest roof, then from there, he fires arrows at the enemy army* D8<

Iratus: *bashes Life Soldiers around, roaring*

Harry: *sticks with Claire, not really able to fight while he can't control his demekarr and lacks an arm*

Sam: *Kicks @$$*

Blood Puppet: *Also kicks @$$, staying near Mia*

Mia: *tries very hard to kick @$$, but at the most, she can only defend herself, barely dodging a few attacks* D8

Zorua: *uses her small size to her advantage, running around knifing soldiers' legs in her human form*

Claire: *defends Harry, shooting enemies with her crossbow. she didn't like how familiar it felt*

Sarah: *kicks major @$$*

Key: *takes off to attack the flying beasts, claws at the ready*

Shidako: *snaps necks and tears out throats, ripping through the army with a vengeance*

Altodd: *Hops down and helps Mia* COME ON! REMEMBER WHAT I TAUGHT YOU!

Everyone: *FIGHTING*

Air Soldiers: *Fly down and add to the mayhem. A dragon stays in the air and shoots fire at Key*

Bibentus: DON'T GIVE UP, MEN! D8<

Key: !! *dodges around the flames, remembering what happened the last time she was hit by a dragon's flames. she slashes at the dragon's face when she gets close enough, aiming for its eyes*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Altodd: *Continues to help Mia along with Blood Puppet*

Blood Puppet: *DEFENDS!*

Everyone: *Fights*

Todd: *shows no remorse*

Dragon: *Roars in pain and bites at Key*

Mia: *fends off attackers as best as she can*

Key: *avoids the beast's snapping jaws, and tries to land on its head, clawing at its eyes*

Dragon: *Shrieks a cry of pain and tries shaking Key off, having been rendered blind*

Todd: *Kills countless Life City soldiers*

Altodd: *Same*

Key: *is shaken off, but she merely flies away, letting the dragon flail about and hit other air city beasts*

Mia: *defends herself*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Everyone: *Still fights*

Lucifer: THERE'S HUNDREDS MORE, BUT WE CAN FACE THEM!

Todd: frack YOU, LUCIFER!!

Altodd: *He continues to fight, sweating and panting from his exhaustion.

Blood Puppet: *Doesn't get tired due to his previous infection and continues to cut down enemy soldiers*

Mia: *is quickly tiring out, barely able to hold up her sword*

Key: *is knocking flying beasts out of the sky with ease*

Shidako: *rips and tears through life city soldiers*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Altodd: *Is suddenly knocked to the ground by a soldier. The tip of a sword comes dangerously close to his face, and he's far too exhausted to try any sort of elaborate escape move* !!!!

Umbra: *One suddenly comes up from behind the soldier and throws him away from Altodd, only to grab the stumbling elf by the collar of his shirt and suck out his happiness*

Altodd and Blood Puppet: !!!??

Todd: *Fights*

Everyone: *Fights*

Buildings: *Are getting burnt down and destroyed by the enemy armies*

Key: *spots a dragon heading towards the others as she fights in the air* !!

Dragon: *Lands on top of the Umbra and smacks everyone behind it with its powerful tail. It leaps onto Altodd*

Umbra: *scratch at the dragon but are unable to damage it too badly -- it's hard scales prevent that*

Everyone: *FIGHTS*

Shidako: *throws herself at the dragon, slamming into its head, clawing at its eyes and snout* GET OFF HIM! D8<

Mia: *was knocked down by the dragon's tail--she staggers back to her feet* D8!

Dragon: *Roars with blind fury and backs away from Altodd, trying to shake Shidako off*

Key: *is chased around by a few harpies--they keep her from flying low enough to attack the dragon*

Su'yola: *looks like she really doesn't want to be there* I-I hoped I'd find you--I needed to warn you. Occulta's army has grown, tremendously so. Hundreds and hundreds of soldiers of all kinds, men, elves, beasts, dragons--Air City has allied itself with him!

Key: *groans* God DAMMIT, that one dragon was bad enough...

Mia: *is now even MORE nervous, and visibly scared*

Lucifer: Air City probably allied itself because Occulta has the eyes... That, or they're all crazy.

Todd: You know what? We don't NEED your warning, Sue. We can handle Occulta ourselves. >:(

Claire: ... we need to hurry. If we beat Occulta to Death city, we may have an advantage.

Todd: *Bitterly* ... We won't beat him. He's got dragons and things. We're going by foot.

*there are flying beasts circling high above the city, but they don't seem to be attacking. the army can be seen approaching from the other side of the city, a large mass moving across the land. Death City soldiers run here and there, scrambling to prepare for the attack*

Key: *scans the streets for the others, pretty sure that they're preparing for the attack as well*

Mia: *stays very close to Blood Puppet, incredibly unwilling to be separated from Blood Puppet*

Altodd: *He stays with Mia and Blood Puppet, looking around for the others*

Iratus: *Sees them* ! :D *runs over* (It is good to see you!)

Lucifer: Iratus, where are the others?

Iratus: (They're getting ready to defend the city!) D:

I don't know when I'm supposed to really be back, but I hope soon. I'm sorry, Shidako. <:( *He backs away from her and turns to be with everyone else. As he does, he changes back to the original Altodd, and his brow furrows when he sees Occulta's army approaching*

Todd: *Is ready, glaring at Occulta*

Occulta: *Leads his army on a white horse with golden armor. He raises a hand to halt the massive group of people and creatures behind him and approaches the group - on his own - while Bibentus's army quickly gathers behind them* So good to see you all again! Thank you, Todd, for giving up all that information to us. It's been VERY helpful.

Occulta: ... What I did to you? Todd, I think your memory is a tad messy. In case you've forgotten, all I did was give you a warm bed and food to eat. YOU'RE the psychopath who REVELED in his orders, killing more than what was required, drinking until you passed out, and whispering death threats to yourself -- Sometimes even laughing hysterically at absolutely nothing. Altodd: *Puts on his shoulder pads and grabs his weapons. He decides to use his bow first, hoping they'll see Occulta and his army before they see THEM*

Blood Puppet: *Grabs his katana*

Mia: *keeps a hand on her sword, slightly nervous*

Key: *stays by Todd, putting a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him down*

Claire: *is ready*

Lucifer: *Not knowing how else to communicate with Key without Todd hearing, he speaks in her head* (Should I force him to calm down or would you rather I don't touch him?)

Todd: *Is very agitated*

Everyone: *About ready*

Blood Puppet: ...

Key: ! *is a bit startled by the sudden voice after not hearing Mehnit for a week or so, but she responds* (Um... I think maybe I should try to handle this first...)

Mia: *is still nervous*

Claire: ...

Lucifer: (Very well.)

*They start walking. The morning is cold and there is a fog in the air*

Lucifer: This is good. They won't be able to see us if this fog keeps up.

Harry: But we can't see THEM, Lucifer. D:

Lucifer: I can sense them. All we need is the element of surprise.

Todd: *Bitter and angry*

Altodd: *Keeps his bow out* ...

Blood Puppet: *Keeps his katana out, constantly looking around, just in case*

Key: *holds Todd's hand, squeezing it reassuringly* ...

Mia: *also keeps her blade out, even more nervous* ...

Claire: *stays alert for any signs of movement* ...

Altodd: *Tries staying calm. Panic and anxiety will only blind them and not let them think clearly*

Todd: *Is very angry*

Lucifer: *Being unable to die, he is calm and collected*

Harry: *Is much like Claire, keeping his eyes and ears open*

Blood Puppet: *Is ready for an attack at any moment*

Claire: ... !! *holds a hand up to stop everyone else* Hang on... there's someone here. *darts into the fog, out of sight. a struggle is heard, followed by a cry for mercy*

Su'yola: *is shoved into view, nearly losing her footing on the damp grass*

Everyone: !!??!

Todd: *He stares in silence, his feelings a mix of anger and utter confusion. Here, standing before them, is the woman who killed him. He is about to say something, but he can't think of anything to really tell Su'yola, so he shuts his mouth once more*

Harry: *He growls at Su'yola, knowing EXACTLY what to say to her* What the hell are you doing, showing up like this?? ALONE, too... Some nerve you've got.


Altodd: *Doesn't quite understand who this person is, but keeps his bow ready* ...?

Lucifer: ...

Blood Puppet: This is a pleasant surprise, still. Nice to see you again, Su'yola.

Key: *is visibly tense, a slight red glow in her gaze* ...

Claire: *Harry's anger seeps over into her, and there is a slight snarl in her otherwise neutral expression*

Mia: *is confused, having no clue who the dragon-woman is, but she keeps her sword out* ...

Su'yola: *gravitates towards Blood Puppet, seeing as he's the only one she knows who isn't being hostile. she * I-I didn't come here to attack you. I left Occulta, and the trail of death he's left behind.

Key: Funny, you never really seemed to care about killing people before.

Su'yola: *hisses, tail twitching in irritation* That was different. I didn't sign up for genocide.

Altodd: No, no, don't be sorry! You were supposed to do that! <:D Now imagine what you can do with a REAL sword.

Mia: What, stab a guy in the chest? <:P

Altodd: Well, yeah! I mean, you'll really be able to DEFEND yourself, Mia. If you keep progressing like this, you won't really need me anymore. <:)

Mia: *dramatically, holding the empty sheath over her head* We shall be equals in the art of sword-fighting! :P

Altodd: Well... I wouldn't say EQUAL... ;P In a real fight, I bet I could kick your @$$, even if I DID teach you everything I know.

Mia: *lets her arm drop to her side* Well, let's not cross that bridge until we get to it, huh? ;P

Altodd: Hah, right. You want to keep sparring, or...?

Mia: If you're up for it. :P

Altodd: Alright then. :D *He continues sparring with Mia, teaching her further along the way as they do so. Throughout most of it, Altodd is smiling*

Mia: *really does enjoy their sparring matches. she's always up for learning something new, and this was a challenge she enjoyed*

*When it gets too late, and they get too tired, they finally stop sparring and pack up their things to head back to the group*

Altodd: *While walking back with Mia* I had a good time, sparring with you. Does that sound weird?

Mia: Not at all, because I did too. ^^

Altodd: *His smile widens a bit and there's a sense of joy in his eyes* ... I'm glad. You... You make me feel human, Mia. Thank you.

Mia: *gives him a warm smile* Everyone has the right to feel human. I'm glad I could help you get there again.

Altodd: *His smile warms up as well, along with the rest of his expression. Looking away from Mia, he gently touches her shoulder as they walk*

Mia: *places her own hand over his, gently squeezing it before carefully taking it off her shoulder as they approach camp. if Walter were to see that, well, things could get ugly. no need for that...*

Mia: !! *blocks him, a bit taken aback by the force of the attack, even though he was visibly holding back. she tries to push him away*

Altodd: A better way than what you were doing is to simply dodge the hit by stepping back, then lunging in to stab your opponent. That, or do a full parry on the attack by hitting back with your own swing. This can leave your opponent stunned if you hit them hard enough.
