Chapter 1 - What I'll Always Have
What I'll Always Have
I have many memories to measure,
Some bright, Some dark,
Some of pain and some of pleasure.
I remember many years,
Some Surrounded by pain and death,
Others by Love and with no fears.
But the ones I'll never forget,
Not for time or Dream's Awakening,
Will be those from when we first met.
I recall the fateful day,
Of when our eyes met,
And I Leapt down off my bay.
Your eyes were dark liquid pools,
I could have peered into without end,
Those eyes like mysterious jewels.
I can still taste your kisses of warm fire,
More intoxicating than any type of wine,
To see you happy and smiling was my only desire.
Word arrived of war to our way,
And I left to lead the army to the foe,
The last I was to see of you was that day.
And now as I slowly wake,
To later dream once more,
These dreams of you I take.
