Chapter 9 - Reconnaissance

(Remember people, Tsunade is in hiding some where around our favorite soon-to-be Jounins during the entire chapter.)

Ishizu was literally taking her anger out on the dirt under feet, she was so pissed. With every step, she would either kick up a cloud of dust, or stomp on the ground. 'DAMN SENSEI!!! I WANTED TO frackING TRAIN TODAY!!!!' she thought. Just then, a brilliant idea popped into her head. She rushed towards home, knowing just what she needed to calm down.

With the guitar case slung around her shoulder, she headed off for the training fields. She loved to find the perfect cherry-blossom tree and just unwind, singing and playing her guitar. Since she had never been allowed to leave the Yamanuri clans' walls, she had taught herself to play the guitar, and she had found that she truly did have a good voice for singing. Every now and again, when Auntie was taking a nap, or was extremely busy, she would sneak out here and play.

Ishizu found her usual place under a huge cherry-blossom tree, which was right beside a small pond. she sat down in one of the gaps between the roots, un-zipped the guitar case, and put the acoustic around her neck.

She started to gently strum, doing a small warm-up before starting to sing. After the warm up, she started to play the tune to a song, making sure no-one was around, and sang.

That was one of her favorites. It always calmed her down.

"And who was that for?" a voice came from just behind and above her. Hearing it, she blushed madly and jumped. She hated it when someone listened to her sing. She thought that it was embarrassing. And, of all the people it had to be, she had hear him, which just made her blush even harder.

"O-oh! I-it was j-just for me... I-i always sing and play my guitar to c-calm me d-down when I'm really mad... th-thats one of my favorites..."

"Oh really?" retorted the silver-haired boy.

"Y-yeah... M-my sensei really pissed me off... we didn't even do anything! All we did was wait forever for her, and then we just talked! TALKED DAMN-IT!!!"

"Thats funny, sounds just like mine."

"Ookaaayyy... so... apparently the official first day of being a ninja is suppost to suck..."
