Chapter 1 - Atomic Descrution
Atomic Destruction
By: Melissa Whitten
BOOM
Less than a second
Its all gone
I see nothing&
I hear screaming&crying
I wasnt there on that day
But my mind&my imagination
Explores a world long yonder
The pictures, the stories
Sends chills down my body
I can feel the heat on my face
I can smell the blood
From the wounded
I hear the piercing screams
Of children severely burned,
Or just lost their mother.
The destruction is overwhelming
My heart begins to ache
Watching the cloud rise
I sit in my desk
And put myself there
That country will never be the same
I hope that weapon
Will never be used again&
