Chapter 1 - To: My Dad

Do you remember?

Remember the good times we had?

Why did you change so much?

Why don't you and me keep in touch?

Why do you only care about your work?

What about me?

You and mom have a great relationship,

But me and you don't seem to say much.

Don't get me wrong,

I love my daddy so very much,

but so many things aren't how they should

I really miss how it used to be,

"Hey daddy! Can you play with me?!"

That's what I used to say when you came back home,

Now it's,

"Hello. I need to go back to my room."

And you just nod and agree,

that's what it's always like,

Sure you still tell jokes,

I still laugh,

We still play cards,

but very rarely,

I rather stay in my room listening to music i love,

drawing art that I really hope you'll like,

But you never do,

Well you never say you do,

you only say: It's... great? Interesting.

but those are words used to cover up dislike,

I never wanted it to be like this,

I tried to stop it,

but what's done is done,

and I miss how it was.

Dad, I love you,

but sometimes I wonder if you love me too...

Awww... That's so cute. it was sad because Five For Fighting - Superman is playing on my radio right now, and it fits perfectly... I'm crying now. I better stop and say that this poem rocks! :3
