Chapter 26 - Cross to Bear
Cross to Bear
As I sat there,
Staring at the sky,
I knew all at once,
You were telling me not to cry.
Yet all I could do was stare,
Believing that you lie,
Tell me Im not your son,
Tell me I wont die!
I could only scream,
Shouting at the sky,
But I could only say it once,
Please, tell me you lie.
My life tore at the seams,
As I saw you fly,
I knew all the fun,
Had fled to die.
I saw my cross to bear,
Outlined against the sky,
All I had was one last prayer,
Before I had to die.
As I sat there,
Staring at the sky,
