While I slept, I knew who was there,
He always came on silent feet,
And climbed up next to me, like a little teddy bear
While I slept where dreams meet.
While I played outside, he was always there by my side,
He would be there, love in his deep blue eyes,
And we would always be together, my mind lied,
While I played in my lies.
Now he rests without me,
While my heart grows cold,
And I hold these flowers for all to see,
While the rain drops bold.
