I know how I wished for you to go away
But now I wish you'd been here to stay
With the promise of friendship I was led astray
But the friends was a lie, so to say
In the end, you were the only one honest throughout the day
But still I was happy as I saw you decay
It’s not like before
The shadows are gone
It’s not like before
I can taste the sunlight
It’s just like before
I still need you to survive
It’s not like before
You’re not here anymore
And I’m dying slowly
You used my body ruthlessly and without my consent
I lived in fear you'd hurt people wherever I went
But soon enough you became a part of me, although without intent
Stupid little me didn't understand what this meant
But I did as soon as you disappeared and now I repent
Please excuse my egoistic lament
