Chapter 1 - Madness

They say that I am mad.
They are mistaken.
It is true; I prefer
To hear the colors
And see the sounds,
But this does not make me mad.
Unorthodox, perhaps, but never mad.
After all, a dancer is thought mad
By those who cannot hear the music.
Surely that is why they call me mad;
They are simply unable
To hear my music, or else they refuse to.
I do so hope
That they merely cannot hear it;
They might one day acquire the proper ear.
But refusing to listen, why, that is madness!
