Chapter 1 - Revenge

How do you expect me to stand
This much pain, pain you caused?
Did you really think I would do nothing?
That I would let you escape unscathed?
I know that I can cause no physical pain
That will be revenge enough for this;
But still I will try,
For it will hurt that much more
To know that you never felt pain
For what you did.
I know I cannot sever your heart
As you did mine,
But I can still torment your mind,
Reminding you of all you’ve done,
The hopes you have crushed,
The dreams you’ve destroyed,
And the souls you have
Ripped into a thousand pieces.
But no, even now you feel no pain,
At least not enough to matter to me.
I have determined that there is
Only one way to end this;
And that is in your ending.
So now I take this dagger of tears
And plunge it through your chest.
