Chapter 1 - Time
Chapter 1 - Time
A broken bone,
And a heart to match.
A forfeited dream
And a lost cause.
They say that
Times heals everything.
But follow me, please,
Through the events
Of every day,
And find out how wrong
They are.
A hospital bed,
Newly emptied.
But its patient
Has not gone home,
A disease,
Though minor,
Has progressed with time,
Leading to its final stage.
A garden,
No longer full
Of the beauty
Which once filled it.
The flowers,
Though once beautiful,
Have wilted away in time.
A firework,
Though it once
Sparkled gloriously,
Is now nothing more
Than ashes,
Scattered on the ground.
Time does not heal everything
Time leads to the grave.

So... you'll eat me if I don't comment huh... well, I'll just have to comment then. I like it. It's so true. How ironic, we both have a poem titled Time. Awesome! Of course, yours makes much more sense.
