Chapter 1 - Valentine

All my life
They tell me
How useless I've become,
Cursed to live
Half a life,
Born deaf, blind, and dumb.
They kick me
When I'm down,
They push me when I stand.
They punish me
For not following
Every one of their commands.
The rage that
Builds inside me,
That cannot be contained,
Will no doubt end
In pure white souls
Contracting bloody stains.
The questions and
Thoughts that haunt me,
That tear my soul apart,
Are all that fill
This empty hole
That used to be my heart.
But lately something
Deep inside
Has now begun to form:
A subtle mist
Both mighty and calm
That overwhelms the storm.
A shining light
That pierces
All the shadows that surround
And just when hope
Is almost lost,
I am finally found.
Never have I
Ever had
An angel from above.
I've known true hate,
I've known true pain,
And now I know true love.
