Chapter 1 - Lost Love
Today someone smiled at me
He reminded me of you
Innocent and full of youthful energy
I blinked back my tears
And walked solemnly away
The memory too strong
For me to wish away
I still remember your voice
Soothing and sweet
And how you used to sing to me
When my life grew too hard
For me to bear
I still remember your eyes
A glowing amber brown
And how sympathetic they were
When I told you my past
I wish I could forget
You dying in my arms
Having saved my life
By taking your own
I remember the good
But the bad is far too strong
I can't move on
I'll love you to my dying day
