I don't know if it's the lineart or the colors that catches your eye, but I'm just gonna assume it's the lines. Again, this is another thing that's hard for me to explain. I pretty much try and make a circle-shaped line, but looks slightly less curved as it gets closer to the shoulder. I start at the armpit and end at the center. You have to know when to stop your line or it go to far and will look weird unless you want that effect. They aren't exactly circular like it was taken from a perfect circle and just pasted on. If you do think of it as a circle, the upper half is slightly higher/taller than the bottom half. As if it is stretched or something. The bottom half can be exactly circular I guess, it works for me. If all else fails, just study the shapes at different angles. I never teach this stuff unless people ask me, so I hope this helps a bit. I'm not an anatomy expert, either so you may or may not get better info from an anatomy book or someone else or something. Laters!

Don't get me started on poses. This stuff is hard, but I'll do my best to help. In a nutshell, I browse around pictures done by pros for inspiration, and I have to feel relaxed so I can think clearly. Try not to force out ideas, it doesn't work that way. And even though I don't do this much, make thumbnail sketches of different poses until you get one you want. If you don't know a thumbnail skecth is a small undetailed drawing just to see if the composition interests you (or something like that). Try imagining the character moving around in your mind or something, too. If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Don't worry one bit. I know exactly what it's like to be so busy. I had to lose an hour sleep last night because of work. I have to go in on Sunday, too. For 12 hours no less...

Lucky me. I was only there for 8 hours. Basically I'm a helper for the machine operators. And since no operators showed up after 8 hours, there's no point in me hanging around any longer. It still got me a bit of extra cash, though. $_$
