Chapter 1 - Consequences
Chapter 1 - Consequences
Generations
Have come and gone,
All with problems each.
With solutions always
Close at hand,
Yet always out of reach.
So they pass it
Down the ladder,
And with each step down it grows.
So now we're left
Still drying tears
Cried so long ago.
The pains that
They inflicted,
That weren't supposed to last,
Are the same wounds that
We heal today
From generations passed.
But they close both
Their eyes and ears
And ignore what people say,
So now questions asked
So long ago
Are being answered still today.
But they continue
To just sit there,
Hoping no one knows
That they're the reason
We pay the price
For mistakes made long ago.

That's deep, but good all the same. Excellent job here, and I love it, just like the rest of them. ^^
