Greetings once again! I crave your advice and pray you're able to give it to me...When you're working on a commission, how do you calculate how much you should charge for it? I know you can't just randomly say 'that's 100 quid' for something that doesn't look as if it's worth 100 quid. I've been told by some people that how much you charge should cover the cost of the materials used, but supposing you didn't use a lot of materials, or the materials didn't exactly cost loads anyway?

It should cover more than just the cost of materials: you're also charging for your time and how much energy etc you're putting into it.Hope that helps!
