Um,  I only have lived here for 5 months and seen only one beach. It is mostly desert in the middle and southern part of California, but the cities and oceans are in the upper parts of California. I live on a military base, so it is covered in grass, but it is also very hot here. And I mean VERY hot. Probably not as hot as Australia, but it is still hot. I will tell you more tomorrow.
