Ha ha! Well I figured that since my homework is generally art I might post some of the things I am working on. The assignment was to pick a book and illustrate a cover and twelve chapter pictures. Well as many may have guessed my book is Eragon! And this is the cover I designed for it.

*laughs* This was drawn by hand, scanned and then colored in Corel Painter 8. I have never used this program before... so this was a whole new experience for me. (That and I am NOT a painter... As I am sure anyone who has any experience with painting will see). This picture has taken me about eight hours to complete... mainly because the first three hours were focused on messing up (learning the program).

Well I hope you all like it.

It looks great, the coloring is great, But how you have everything placed bothers me. I don't like the way the feet are cut off, and I've noticed that in all your drawings you've stopped growing. the first drawings in your entire gallery is no better than this one right here. and the horn on the left side and the left side of his hair looks sketchy it doesn't look blended properly. I think you let to many of these unprofessional artists over inflate your ego and now you've stopped your growth. That happens with a lot of artists.

Excelent work! I love how you did Saphira. She is amaizing! I love the book Eragon. It is a shame that they made such a short film...why Harry Potter get so much attention? Ups! Sorry I went out of control... Your work is excelent! I can't wait to see more of your amaizing art. Keep doing the excelent work.
P.S. I heard that the director didn't finish reading the book when he was making that movie. Hihihi... Chii o^.^o

I think this is how Saphira should look on the movie. She is too dull in color on the movie, this picture is better.

Even if you are not a painter, the colors are realy nice ^_^
I like the dragon, and his shirt is well done ^^

Just the pants are a little weird... But I know what is like to know how to draw and have no talent for painting, although you don´t lack at it at all ^.^

No offense of course, love the picture, adore the book, had a bruise on my forehead from slapping it the entirity of the movie and afterwards beggged my friend to show mercy and kill me. She found it funny of course, since she hated the book anyhow.
I love how you colored Saphira and the way you drew her wings. The eyes are spectacular too! ^__^
