"Splinter(s)(ed)"
"Shard(s)"
"Fissure"
"Fracture(ed)"
"Shatter(s)(ed)"
Would be one of the best in my opinion.
Anything along those lines would work.
I love the poem though, it returns to me thoughts of past and of present.
I know where this came from.
