OH and don't EVER try to explain swords to me because that is how I spend my day studying swords. Just like how Zanbatos are commonly way to oversized in anime they were more like nodachi only with longer handles also, used to slay calvary. They were a very rare form of sword because they weren't as sufficient as Yari(spear like weapons), also because it took alot of metal to forge. Similar to the nodatchi in the way it was very heavy, hard to swing, and took alot of metal. It is a real sword unlike the Zanpakuto(bleach) which is a made up sword like the sakabato(reverse blade from Ruroni Kenshin).

I said Zanbato not Zanpakuto.Zanbato's are swords like the buster sword, Zabuza's sword(Naruto), Zangetsu(Bleach), etc.
