See, I met this girl that looks EXACTLY like her, and I can't quite explain her well to a friend of mine. (weird thing is, she remembers me from high school, and I can pick her out from the yearbook, but I've got no idea who she is!) I could just show him a picture of Tatsumiya, but I've been wanting an RQ anyway, so...lol.

You know what the worst part is? People will tell me that there's nothing wrong, because it's not a physical ailment, and it really doesn't stop me from doing most things. When it DOES act up, I usually get a lot of crap.

Oh, as for that...well, I've hurt my wrist a couple times, and narrowly avoided surgery for carpal tunnel due to martial arts and typing. But my imjury stems from birth. I was born 2 months early, so my motor skills didn't develop correctly. I'm still a bit behind. I can type at above average speeds, but drawing and handwriting can be difficult to get to an acceptable level.

I've never really had a great art teacher. One tried to fail me because I couldn't draw. Well, funny thing- old injury wouldn't LET me. My motor skills were a little messed up, and they're just started to recover the past couple years. So, I was getting failed because of that? Pfh. I put in the effort; that should be enough.

I really hope that's the only thing that jinxes me, since it's the only thing I could do something about, lol.

Nah, not at all. To be honest, I'd love my OC drawn by Noizi Ito as much as Masashi Kishimoto. (Shakugan no Shana and the Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are a couple of Ito's works). So your style isn't off at all :)
Art's subjective like that, I guess. What works for one person doesn't work for another. It's weird how it works sometimes. I guess creativity can come from anywhere.

Ah, too late. I jinxed myself. I just had three bad days in a row! I got hurt at work (again!), got into an argument with one of the instructors at martial arts, and had another problem at work. Wow, amazing huh?

Well, this is the first time I've illustrated Ryouko even close to correctly. I think you did really well, especially since my description was really vague.
For me, it's hard to draw from nothing. But once I've sat down and written "Okay, brown hair and eyes, bags under his eyes...blah blah", illustrating becomes a little easier^^

Things will start looking up for you soon. Bad luck doesn't last forever. Me, a stupid little thing helped me out. I got a DVD, and they took a ridiculous amount off the price. So that kind of made my day, and things went up from there.

Thank you! I've got so many stories about Ryouko., my OC. He's been so many things, with different names. I used to write fanfics about HOUSE MD, and he was an intern doctor there, under the name Daniel Holmes. He's been in so many fics. But he's at his best in Naruto, I think.
I think you illustrate your OC's better than I do. Maybe make a story first, then illusrate it. You'd be surprised at how satisfying it is for your OC to have a bad day when you're having a bad day, or a good day when you're having a good day, or whatever works :)

Let's see...cold remedies. Suck on lemons, drink tea, and steam yourself in the shower for twenty minutes. That's what I do, and I'm constantly getting colds because of my job. You'll feel better really quickly. You can also rub vics on your chest and throat, and gargle salt water to help you breathe easier.

My mom loves cats too! And my sis. We have our collie, 2 cats and a fish. We used to have a rat, and 2 hamsters as well. And 2 cats before that. We like to keep a menagerie XD My cat's name is Yuki.

I wouldn't let it bother you. Boy or girl, you'd have someone complaining about who you picked. That's just how things are. I wouldn't take it personally. Just go with what makes you happy. I know it's easier said than done, but that's where you test your mettle as an independent person with her own strengths.

Her name is Black Hayate (Like Hawkeye's dog in FullMetal Alchemist), she looks just like the aforementioned dog. She's three months old, and incredibly well-behaved and loving!

That happens too. You get burned enough times, you don't go near the stove anymore, y'know? I try to trust people, at least a little. But it doesn't work well for very long.

I hardly think that's a reason for anyone to freak out. That kind of thing is normal. You're young, and pardon me for saying so, but at that age you test your options. Unless you're a social recluse like me, lol!
But, seriously, there's not a thing wrong with that. You like what you like, right? And if this girl is good for you in all the ways you've said, then you might try pointing that out to your family. When you find someone that makes you happy, hold onto them. You've gotta live your life for you, after all.
My only advice is not to make a huge public display of it. A lot of people don't like that from any kind of couple. Other than that, go for it and have fun with it :)

I don't know. I'm not a parent, and I'm sure the idea would mortify me if I was, but the way I look at it, a 'date' isn't necessarily a super serious thing. It's not like it'll lead to marriage (at least not right away). You always run the risk of something happening, but it's perfectly normal. College age dates should be more serious imho, but high school dates- heck, I say just have fun, lol.

More or less, yeah^^ Bah, my own diet laziness kicked in at a bad time- I got hurt at work, so I can't exercise. Thankfully, my metabolism is taking care of most of the problem. But still, I'm a die-hard martial artist, and not being able to exercise...It kinda sucks, simply put, lol.

Well, I eat a ton of little meals. But when I say little, I mean LITTLE, lol. Most people wouldn't call them 'meals'.

That's healthier anyway. I get a lot of excerise, between work and martial arts. So it kind of works out. My eating habits are something like 'I'll eat what I want, but I'll work it off' or 'I'll eat healthy stuff, but not a lot of it'.

Lol. My Mom and Dad are smart, but they aren't fans of math. Although my Dad is good at conventional math. My Mom is one of those people who can just make the right decision in the right situation somehow. And me...I can, um...doing nothing! ^^'

Oh, eating too fast does me in, too. That, and eating too much of the wrong stuff. I've corrected that a bit lately, opting more for fish and vegetables over meat. Still- don't crash diet too hard, okay?

Japanese is different, but it makes sense in a way. Math- nope, no sense there; not for me anyway. It's awesome you're good at that. It's a practical skill to have.

Sounds like a vacation would do that little feud good. Thankfully, I avoid that most of the time, too. My parents are the type who let me make my own (small) small mistakes, while preventing me from making any big ones. So we don't usually clash.

Aw, c'mon, don't do that! My appetite goes along with my illness. That, and I'm naturally small for my size, so my appetite is smaller. I would bet that you're taller than me, or at least a similar height.


Let's see. I got my grades back for my midterms. Math was...a failure. It was all stupid mistakes, too. Graphing something, then not shading it. Forgetting a variable, etc. Man, that burned me up! Japanese was better, with a B. But it was forgetting part of one character that dropped my grade a lot. That was...irritating.
Overall, I'll do fine in Japanese. Math, I'll either just pass, or I'll drop it before I fail it.
It really sucks, because I do well in everything but math!

I was reading Negima again, and I was laughing at something Asuna did (I usually do). Then I pictured my OC in Negima (I'm working on a fic for it). What popped into my head but Asuna and Sakura (From Naruto. Not Sakurako, Or Sakurazaki, or Asakura, lol) teasing my poor OC's. What THAT Led to was Sakura wearing a Negima uniform. And THAT led to me pestering you for another RQ: Either Asuna and Sakura in Negima uniforms, or just Sakura.

I don't know. I've been told I think mathematically, but I jsut don't get it. Probably because of all the steps involved. If I could just get an answer without all the steps, then I'd prob do okay. When there's four answers and you have to pick the right one by doing work, I'm okay with that. As long as I know what the outcome might be. But if there's nothing to work with...I've got nothing, lol.

I've had friends who were supposedly flamers, but they actually weren't. They would say 'Try resizing your picture' or 'can you darken your lines', and people would go ballistic on them. To me, that's constructive criticism, not flaming.

It's the fact that people choose not to believe you because they can't see the problem. you wouldn't believe how many times that's happened to me. It's done everything from cost me money to getting me suspended. I never skip class once in years, and then I'm legitimately ill, and they can't believe me. Well, to the nonbelievers I say: :p

My problem (anxiety) is one of those that I'm supposed to have all my life. Now I'm told I might lose it by twenty-five, or that I won't need medication (though I should take it. Yucky). There's a treatment, but it's tantamount to brain surgery...yeah, not gonna happen XD Not if I can get over it on my own.
The main thing is to enjoy it. I really do. I was working with a couple younger kids today, and that's always fun.

I'm okay with history that I'm interested. Particularly world war II, and Japanese history up to the Meiji era^^

Lol, well, I'm used to it. The pain comes with the job. You can't learn flexible in a mental sense, but your body will remember each time you push your limits, and you'll get stronger for it. It's possible, I'm sure of it.

Yeow. I'm flexible, but not THAT flexible. I'm good with pain almost anywhere, just not stomach. I've got my collarbone popped out and my ribs bruised, and they hurt like heck, but I could live with that. But stomach pain...not my thing. I give you a lot of credit for doing what you do.

You can do it^^ Sparring doesn't hurt. Especially when you can block a punch. My forte is really weapons and the nastier end of hand to hand combat, but that's only because it's what I learned first. Karate is more passive, but it works just as well. Everyone can punch or kick, but not everyone can do it the most efficient way possible. Imagine it like this: Imagine your getting set to kick high for dancing. The same principles apply to Karate- you don't want to fall over in either case.

Yeah, I'd really rather not get shot. They'd prob stick me in the crazy wing of the hospital for laughing.

It really does work that way. Once I made friends with mitchellP, Jo_Pen, Midnight_Chaos, Alchemest1, Flashthehedgehog, Shadowthe_hedgehog (Now KeikoSilver- another good person to meet), and a lot of others, that's when my work really got some attention.

I can't tell if I enjoy it or not. I start out having fun, but I get frustrated pretty quickly. I usually draw when I want to relax. Maybe if I waited until I wasn't stressed, I would write better.

I didn't follow a standard deck. I just counted out '1000' or something on the cards, then put them in a deck, with a couple low numbers, but mostly high numbers. I only ever finished the deck twice, I think. When I pulled a muscle, I stopped doing that.

Don't worry- and route for the other guy. I can live with a loss^^ I'm really going to just see where I am. The last time I sparred in a tournament, I lost against a fifth degree blackbelt and a second degree blackbelt. I had no chance, but I was thrilled when I landed a single punch on the 5th degree. He was built like a tree, so it was hard to get near him to hit him.

Wow, lucky that it missed it! I don't doubt it would have nailed me. But things like that, for some reason, I get up and laugh about immediatly. If I fall, I'm laughing before I get up. I guess that's how I deal with pain. If you ever hear something like a hyena, I probably got shot or something XD

lol! And don't worry if you don't remember, it's not major. For me, it was, because I drew a decent background, and a fairly good set of hands (THAT was a huge deal for me! lol)

You ARE relatively new. Give yourself time to get fans. No one become a huge success overnight. The more people you know, the more people you'll have bugging you to draw stuff.

Whatever works for you. I don't get upset by great art if anything, it drives me to try harder. The thing about Midnight_Chaos is that she explains her art with some tutorials here and there. If I could draw, they'd be helpful, lol.

I agree. Him and I will be sparring in a tournament. Now, in our exhibition bouts, I've always won. But in a tournament, I can't use coins, and the fighting style is restricted. He'll probably win and I'll never live it down! But he would deserve the win. I'm kind of rooting for him, even if he's against me.

Believe it or not, no. I've learned how to stay up on them. I DO skid a bit, though.
Oh, I've got a good one! Since I got a fortune cookie that said 'good luck' in it, I've:

-had a stomach illness
-fallen down on the ice twice
-been late to ref a game (that NEVER happens!)
-Gotten hit with a puck in the ribs
-fell down the stairs (only two at a rink, thankfully)
-Had a broken score clock at the rink
-Been hit in the head with a hockey stick
-Had my hand smacked by a player
-gotten a call from an irritated relative (not my fault, lol)

So far, so good, right? Good luck is coming my way? Before or after the bad luck finished me off? lol.

Oh, he's trying his best. He's just skittish by nature. But he comes up and challenges me, lol, it's not like I"m forcing it on him (or that I'm really good- I'm not). But he calls me out, and I don't like to turn down a challege. We're good friends, so it's never anything major. He doesn't get frustrated, surprsingly.

Sounds like an interesting move. I can't picture it, though :( I can throw people, but the dojo really restricts our practice. No wonder none of us ever improve enough. When we spar, we wear these stupid boots with leather on the bottom. On a tile floor, it's really fun to try to keep your balance...not! XD

Sounds like martial arts would be perfect for you. Lots of techniques, less talking. In our school, if a student tries to talk over you or ignores you, they do pushups. So they stop talking really fast, lol.

lol, yeah. I'll have to try it out against someone who's more talented. The guy I was sparring with is kind of...cowardly. He tries hard, but he just loses his focus sometimes.

I'd imagine it's because they both require flexibility and athleticism. Jumping kicks, dodges, etc, all need movement. If you can move your body effectively, your attacks and defenses will be sturdy. At least, that's how I'd guess it would work.

No more comparing, then. Not until you're sure of yourself. You put waayyyy too much pressure on yourself imho.

Nah, I'm not very good yet. I can hit the face or chest, but not with much force or decent aim. But coins are a nice distraction, and they can be used other ways. Canes, too, but I'm a little better with those. I collect them, too, so it works out :D

Sounds like a lot on your plate. I'd go with what seems the most fun to you. There's always time for the serious stuf later. I was never one of those people that enjoyed school or made friends, and I majorly regret it now. To me, Japanese and martial arts are fun. Difficult but rewarding. But one fact (I don't know it from personal experience, but I've had instructors tell me it's true) is that dance and martial arts compliment each other.

I'm going to be testing again soon, and it's hard to believe even when you're there. I still can't believe I got a black belt at all. The thought of someday being high ranked it kind of intimidating. Because once you finish learning something, you start teaching it, and it's an entirely different process, since we all learn at different speeds.

You flip them at a high speed at vital spots or pressure points. No one sees them coming, and they're legal to carry. Plus, you CAN do damage, but you can also avoid doing any damage to someone. I wouldn't want to seriously injure someone, you know?
Another good weapon is a cane. That's a fun one to train with^^

I am. But that's not always a good thing, lol. When there's other stuff to get done and I'm focused on one or two other things, it gets difficult.

One time, I was sparring with a friend, and I used coins as a weapons. He didn't see that coming, so he covered his face, and I scored a clean hit to the stomach.

I am^^ But not in Karate (I'm a blue belt in that, which is three from black in my school). My black belt is in my sword art. It doesn't take horribly long to get to black (It took me six years, but I was only serious for one year. I could have been done sooner), but the ranks beyond black take a while.

The main rule of martial arts is to protect your ideals, religion, body, and all of those of the people around you. Hopefully not by fighting. So you're right. It doesn't do to fight, but there are times when you've got to stand up for yourself, too. I'm still learning the 'when' part of that. Thankfully, I don't get many major conflicts (if any).

Playing was fun, but coaches ruined it for me. I had a lousy bunch of them. With reffing, at least I can help the kids learn. Not that they'll listen to me over their coaches...

lol, it's kind of like that. Sometimes I just do pure love stories, but most of the time there's another story. In one instance, my OC leaves the village for being unappreciated. They sic a bounty hunter on him, who happens to be a girl. They know he won't hit girls, so he'll be at a disadvantage if he tries to fight her. It all works out, because he falls for him, even though she's supposed to be this cold-hearted mercenary. I had fun creating her- she's a mix of Japanese and Egyptian. She stemmed from reading Negima. Mana Tatsumiya, to be precise, was one reference.
Although it's usually RyoukoXSakura, as you've heard, lol! I had one where Ryouko had to serve Sakura. That was fun to write^^ IT was one of the rare times I think I got a good mix of comedy, romance, and seriousness. I'm never happy with my fics, though, to be honest.

That's a pretty gross misuse of martial arts, you're right. If he's threatening like that, he's probably just some cocky punk who hasn't really mastered his art, nor does he understand it. (You guessed it, I've had that problem.) One time, I had a drunk adult at a family party try to pick a fight with me (I was fourteen-fifteen at the time). He tried to get his kids to fight me. I didn't back down from either of them (one was a boxer, the other a brown belt in Karate). Then HE tried. It was about to become self-defense on my part, before he stormed away. I hate people like that.

Figure skaters are usually better skaters than hockey players, truth be told. I was never a star player, but I held my own. Reffing is way more fun than playing, to me.

Lol, glad you think so. I've been writing romantic comedies about my OC's. It's funny how their situation might be comically perverted (typical anime stuff, I mean. Nothing crazy), but the OC's are petrified. They're like 'Yes, I like this girl. But I'm not good enough for her!'

Aw snap, I completely missed the first part of you comment and just copy/pasted your reply! Sorry ^^' What I MEANT to say was: Martial artists tend to be good people who are easy to get along with. You can tell whose really into it by how dorky they are (I'm really into it XD), funny as it is. But the best thing about martial artists is that they tend to be loyal. Once you make friends and/or earn their respect, you keep it.

It's all because there isn't one, single, solitary person near my age whose into what I'm in to. Except for online people. In real life, I usually don't bother with people all that much. I got bullied too much, so I don't trust people easily. Sound pathetic, doesn't it? lol.

Well, to me, the work is rewarding. I can also help teach kids how to play hockey, and every once in a while I'm told I'm good at what I do. It beats a 'real' job, and it's much more enjoyable. I just take the bullying in context- if they could do what I do, they'd be on skates trying. The fact that they aren't means that they can't, and all they can do is complain. It speaks volumes about what kind of people they are.

Ah yeah I can see how that would help! I probably wouldn't have thought of that until I'd been doing it for a while. It's cool to have someone who knows their stuff when I'm gonna be totally new at it, lol.

Let's see...the ones I really got into (or still am into) are Naruto, Bleach, XXX Holic (Nothing like it sounds. It's actually rated ages 13 and older), Tsubasa, Shakugan no Shana (Great novel series. Only two have hit the US though, but there's a three-book manga adaptation and a great anime!), Love Hina, Negima, Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, and a couple others. I read alot, lol.

Anything and everything, really. Even if I ref a perfect game, I still missed something according to the parents and coaches. I've been insulted about my age (I look younger than I am), my height (I'm average height, so I'm not sure about that one), and a few other things. But it's okay, I couldn't care less. I enjoy what I do^^

lol, that's true. I usually force someone to play the part of someone my OC likes. (In Naruto, it's Sakura. In Bleach, It's Rukia. and so on.) It IS more entertaining that way sometimes, but usually when the person knows you well enough to set up lines.

Well, knowing the chars helps, that's true. But if you've got talent for it, it's easy to see.

That's the nice thing about martial arts- even if you're not a weapons person, you can still get into it. For example, Karate's literal translation is 'empty hands'. You DO learn weapons, but mostly you learn to defend against weapons. I do recommened learning weapons, though- every move in Karate just makes more sense what you do. If you're blocking a sword, and you know how to swing one, you get the full effect of the move much better.

I wasn't into anime until I caught Naruto one day. Seeing the fourth opening got me completely hooked! I was into Pokemon, but I never put it together with anime, since I'd never seen any others before that. (except for the old Speed Racer re-runs- wow that was some terrible stuff, lol)

That kind of thing happens. I had a couple bad days of work, and I was just completely on edge. Being a referee, I get insulted constantly, and at the end of the day, I'm just in no mood for it. So I can relate there, that's for sure.

I'm something of a collector. Video games and weapons are my vices (along with books). My pride and joy are my two custom-made swords. They'd be worthless to someone else, but those two helped me make black belt^^ It's strange to thank an inanimate object, but with a sword, having it in working order really does help, big time.

We all deal with frustration somehow. Art relaxes some people- me, I have to write something. Although my Negima fic is going to cause me to destroy my keyboard or something 00' jk.

Oh, please do! I was just watching Negima the other night (one of my faves! Ken Akamatsu's work is always good, but it rarely ever works in anime. No, I'm on more often now. NPG has that backwards. She commented on my first pic, and I replied to her to say 'thanks'. So, she found me, lol. When I came here, I didn't talk to anyone for quite some time. I just popped on for thirty seconds to post a picture or story, answered comments, then jumped off again. The fact is, the site is much larger now, so it's harder to pick out certain people. Oh, and NPG and I had drawing Sonic characters in common at that point, too. That's really all I commented on back then^^' There's lots of people I haven't commented on, so don't take it too personally. It wasn't intentional.

I tried drawing tonight, and it reminded me of why I started writing to begin with. I can't draw to save my life! People like you who have talent are lucky, lol!

Wow, they sound like polar opposites! My families both have either war vets or hunters. I could talk WWII for ours, but I'm no hunter. One side also has lots of hockey players, so they aren't totally boring to me.

That's a mature attitude to have. I was like that four a couple years, but slowly things I wanted came back to me. Most of the stuff is books, or a few dvd's (Had to get Naruto and Negima); but we've all got our weaknesses ^^'

If you're still taking requests, I've got one. But I'm a never-ending fountain of requests, so feel free to say 'no' anytime, lol.

Forgot- your thoughts about NPG's work reminds me of my own about a couple artist's work. I want to write more like Ken Amakatsu when I try my hand at romantic comedies. But my style is different, so it doesn't work. I just wind up doing my own thing. But it's better that way. When you do your own thing, no one can accusing you of copying someone else.

You draw in similar, but non-identical styles. There are differences in your work compared to hers, and vice-versa. But that's what makes an artist unique, so it's good imho. I'd love to be ablt to draw like Masashi Kishimoto, or Ken Akamatsu, but, lol, that won't be happening any time soon ^^'

I try to fade into the background. Most of my extended family irritates me, truth be told. I was always different from their kids because of my horrible anxiety problem (which has since gotten better^^). So I always felt criticized, and as a result, I don't have any real emotional connection to most of them these days. I just wanted them over b/c I'm greedy! XD (jk) Seriously though, they've gotten better, and can be a fun bunch, so it's all good.

Let's see...I got mostly martial arts books/dvds, along with a few games I wanted. People did well following my list this year. I was pleasantly surprised :D How about you?

I can't follow 'natural talent', since I don't know how the two of you practice. I think your drawings are equally good, but in different ways. By that I mean that you two shade differently, or do lineart differently, etc. every artist varies, so I guess that's not shocking^^'

It used to be a bigger deal for me. We always had the extended family over on Christmas, and we don't do that anymore. Although we DID have the party the weekend after Christmas, so I was more into it this year.

Things have cleared up quite a bit, thank you :D As for NPG's work vs. yours...yeah, you should ban yourself from her gallery, lol. Or, you could do what I do. Another martial arts reference (Sorry for that, lol. Once I know you better, I'll use better references. I just kind of stick to what I know best at first^^'): At one point, I was the senior student. Then, for no apparent reason, I got booted from my spot by a couple new guys. They were good, and it wasn't their fault (A bad instructor with a more distunguished belt was), but I was furious. So I wound up practicing for hours a day. About three months later, I tested for my black belt, and wound up doing pretty well. So, instead of getting depressed by her artwork (I maintain that you both draw incredibly well, but I see I can't talk you out of your opinion XD), take it as a motivator. See what I'm saying?

I had the same problem until Christmas day, and then after the first couple hours. I was happy, but it felt a little...off. I just chalked it up to having not slept right, lol. Some Christmases are just better than others, I guess.

Well, my whole first year of drawing I thought I sucked so I traced alot. Then I started drawing for real like I do now and I discovered that tracing had actually made me better at drawing free hand. I know it sounds weird but it's true.

Well, I might have some tips for you. There is one thing that helped me out alot at first.

Well, your pics are pretty good. So, do u take classes?

Me neither. I just sort of picked it up. Same with everything I draw. I don't even use any guidelines.

Let me see. I used to take Jeet Kun Do (Bruce Lee's Art), but I needed a break from that. I can't say the name of one of the arts, but it's a sword art used by the samurai. Then there's a version of Filipino Kali (That's using sticks, machetes, knives, fists, feet, throwing weapons, etc). I've got my eyes on a couple other arts, too.

It's not so much pain as it feels like a pulled muscle. I wouldn't even worry about it, except I don't like the thought of surgery.

Karate's a good choice. That's one of the arts I used to take. I stopped for a while because I'm testing in two other arts at the moment.

Well, I use a caligraphy pen when I ink. It's difficult at first, but it's easier than a brush and ink.

Lineart is the outline of the drawing (Usually it's Black and White, but it can be in color). Inking would be good for you because your lines are drawn really well. You've got to have a steady hand for inking, and your drawings seem to say you do.

It's pretty bad on my part (^^'), but you get the idea. Mostly outlining and adding detail with a special type of pen. I'm pretty sure you'd be good at it.

yeah, NG is a great guy. he is one of the nicest people I have met here. Anyway. Yeah, I have had a few gifts given to me. not many though. I Wish I had more time to do requests and gifts back. I have done a few but not for awhile. Anyway. I appreciate the comments on my art. Anyway, yeah, you are indeed a very good artist. paws down. You are every bit as good as myself, NG and NPG. you have a style all your own and that is what makes a good artist. Don't be so hard on yourself.

No problem. I figured A1 would be the first to respond. But he beat you to it? lol, funny coincidence.

For shading, I mixed two pieces of advice: Use a mechanical pencil (The tip is finer, so you can do detail better. Thta, and when you stop to sharpen a regular pencil, sometimes you get a slightly different shade), and shade all in one direction. So all the lines go \\\, instead of \|//\. Shading-wise, I'm not sure between you and NPG. I think you have different styles and they both work. It's hard to judge, since I don't really know art.

Don't concern yourself with it, there's no rush. Take all the time you need^^

The funny thing is, I can give advice, but I can't follow it myself. Even with drawing- I can't personally do it, but I can tell someone how to shade. It's really weird, lol.

Wow, tactical error on my part. I linked that pic because (like I said 100% truthfully :D ) you and NPG draw in similar styles. As for her getting comments, give it time. You will, too. Just comment alot yourself, and you'll get lots in return. Most people on FAC are like that; they won't comment just for the heck of it sometimes. And besides, I don't get the requests either. The only time people want to talk to me is when I can give some kind of advice, strangely enough. I think I even had one girl tell me 'I wish my boyfriend was more like you'. THAT was hysterical, though I was kinda like 'you're kidding, right?'
Anyway, give it time, you're still kinda new here. Keep posting work, and the comments will come.

Ah, you didn't hear the whole story behind the Ryouko thing, though! See, NPG read a couple of my fics and really got behind the RyoukoXSakura pairing. Then we both were into Death Note, and I joked about how funny it would be if Matsuda and Ryouko were in Ouran. It all snowballed from a few weird conversations. Besides, I didn't ask for those, it was NPG's idea to draw them. (Kinda my fault, b/c I inadvertantly give her ideas. I think I was somehow partly responsible for the 'Death Note Bunnies' pic ^^') Trust me, I don't ask just anyone to draw my character. It's prob not a big deal, but it means a lot that you would agree to. And I'm NOT just saying that :)

Anyway, dont' worry, you'll get a huge set of fans yourself I bet. It's like pulling teeth to get people to comment around here. Trying to tell yourself that NPG gets more attention isn't being fair to yourself. She's been here for three years, lots of people have heard of her. Give yourself time to meet people :D

Please don't let my opinions of college be your primary source, lol. If you've seen my comments with NPG, you know I'm a pretty pessimistic person when it comes to my work. That carries over to college. College is good- I just don't really live the life. I don't stay there, and I don't stick around after class, so my opinion is of classes only. I don't make friends easily in rl, so I tend to see the bad side of anything involving me.

My thing right now is bussiness. You can do anything with that. Ultimately, though, I'd like to work in the video game industry ^^

There's a lot to think about, but that's also the good part. As for where to go, it all depends on what you want to do. If you're not sure, go someplace close to home and cheap.

lol, well, it gets more interesting. As in you can kind of pick what you want to take and when to take it. It's cool being able to take one course or five courses, etc.

I just got my first black belt recently, actually. But, caoperia was one art. I was also going to suggest Aikido or Tae Kwan Do. Aikido is a lot of body movement, while Tae Kwan Do is a lot of high kicking (depending on what kind you take). Karate is good too, though^^

Let me see...six years, actually. I've taken four of them, (Isshin Ryu Karate, Jeet Kun Do, Philpino stick/dagger/machete/hand-to-hand fighting (lol)), and a sword art.
There's actually a martial art that combines combat with dancing, come to think of it. I can actually name a couple that you might be really suited for.

Martial arts doesn't require flexibility- truth be told, you get it after doing martial arts for a while.
