a lot of times.

well the the art the gets but on the featured art is not based on how long
we've been here its based on our skill.  I've been here longer than
some of the artist that have been featured but when you look at there
art than you look at mine you can see a clear difference.
but i just keep working on it and hope one day im up there to.

I know you like using photoshop too...I found this tutorial on deviantart a couple of months ago for realism coloring, and heheheheheh....I've used it a few times. well yeah sometimes.. i like portraits! I like to express my feelings through other people in paintings and drawings :) I've done my part of manga too ;) Not so good at that though!
Been drawing since i found out pencils wasn't food... ;)

Hm? Oh, right... well, actually, what I do is I scan them up (usually one scan for the top and left) then a second (for the bottom and right) and then I put the two pieces together in just plain ol' MS Paint. I suppose it could work with photoshop too, but I just tend to prefer Paint. I copy and cut out the strip of picture that I'll need to add on (pick one to be your base pic, then another to paste on the extra corners you need) and then put it all together!!
As long as the paper was perfectly aligned in the scanner when you do this (so it's not all crooked, y'know) it should come out fine.

However, this is only for pieces that are sketchbook-sized, aka slightly larger than my scanner will allow. It depends on exactly how big the piece is that you want to have scanned.

Well, good luck, hope this helped. I'll try to give you some more tips if this ain't what you wanted.

i did a pencil sketch and then i colored it in photoshop elements 3.0 with the brush at about 30 percent opacity. oh, and i did it with my wacom pen tablet. ^__^ thanx!
