Ok! Let me start over. Ashley LIKES when you tell her she's pretty. It makes her happy. But because SHE doesn't think she's pretty (I have low self-esteem too), she can't NOT recounter it. She can't accept it. It still makes her happy though. And the more you say it, the more she'll start to believe you.

Have you ever been complimented and then recountered it?

For example:

"random person: that's a really good picture!

Me: *blush* No it's not!"

Is THAT sort of what she does?

That's because what you're saying makes her happily embaressed (that's a GOOD thing). ^_^
