Oh dammit, some of the story got erased due to space. Just continue with the story, this was on chapter4. I'll tell you briefly what happens after. Sonic apologises, and they go on a date. After the date, they go to bed, with Amy dreaming of getting married to Sonic, and Sonic dreaming of Chilli Pepper Rolls (YUMMY!!!) And that's basically it.

Sonic Riders is about racing, yes. Sonic itself is about stopping Dr.Eggman, and he's in the story too.
