i'm sorry i'm bothering you here, but i really need your help! i'm trying to upload a new chapter to a story of mine, but this error keeps coming up. Fatal error: Call to undefined function mime_content_type() in /usr/home/cstdenis/www/fanart/stories.php on line 284

Hi. I was wondering if there was anyway to broadcast that I have contests on my site, other than on the forums. I'm not boasting.
My site is a cheap little whole in the wall, but I like it. I just want ppl to have a look around it. I have a Chobits Fanart contest going right now.
No one will know about it...* frowns* I understand if theres nothing you can do. Thank you!

AppleWorks is probebly the problem. MAKE SURE you save it as either rtf, microsoft word doc, or plain/unformatted text and it should work fine. The site doesn't support AppleWorks specifically.

Well, I AM using something with a spell checker, and I use it, because I find it annoying when there's alot of mistakes in a story and it gets hard to read. But when I upload the file, it either doesn't show up at all and is just blank, or it comes with a bunch of computer language/whatever stuff. Like when you press enter instead of return and get a little square thing? It gets stuff like that in it. Maybe it's because I'm using AppleWorks, but I don't think so. I'll try to edit the chapter and delete any comp text stuff and see what happens, but the last chapter of my story drakkon didn't appear, and my dad put a bunch of coding or something in it, and now it's a straight line that goes waaaay off to the side and doesn't go down at all. I'll see what happens when I edit, but this is a problem for me, cause I really want to put it up here. Sorry for the trouble.

Um, actually, I'm expeiriancing the same problem as Lost_in_the_Shadowz. I can't get my storys on here either, and what I used to do was go to that chapter thingy, copy from whats on my comp, and paste. Now I can't do that, and I can't upload my story anymore. Sorry, I just realised that this should probably go in the forums, but I was zooming down your profile ^_^;;; and I saw that they were having the same problem, and I thought I'd mention that. Sorry to bother you, but I miss posting my storys here.
