The pen I'm using right now is a bic 7mm.
For larger stuff I usualy use a sharpie marker.
(I just buy whatever is cheapest.)

I so totally LOVE your pics! I think they are the CUTIEST! Especially 'Angel rabbie'! That one is my favorite! Anywayz, LOVE your pics and I hope you draw some more soon! Toodles!

Well, U dun want 2 use the "shape layers" version of the pen tool. U want 2 use "paths". XD That stuff can B displayed on the options bar at the top when U pick the pen tool. They R the 3 icons second from the left. ^.^

BTW, U dun need 2 do it freehand. Just keep clicking points until U R done with yer path. Then U can stroke it.

*Using the convert point tool can make your lines smoother, but you'd hafta have much fewer points.*

When I scan the pic and take it to photoshop, the layers palette shows "Background" 4 the name of the sketch. Simply make two new layers and name the topmost one "lineart". That's where you will use the pen tool 2 trace over yer sketch. As 4 da mid layer, name that one "white". Then go to "edit", "fill", then choose white. That layer is to show only yer lineart and not the sketch, making it much easier 2 colour. On the left of each layer thumbnail is an icon that looks like an eye, if U click on it, that will hide the layer, and show all others. So, click the eyecon 2 the left of the "white" layer. This will show only the lineart layer, and the background sketch layer. Now U can trace over with the pen tool. Just make sure that U have the brush tool set to 1 pt, with the color black. Start clicking away to trace the picture. (Using the convert point tool is a lil' hard to explain, and it's quite advanced) After U trace one path to the point where you need to stop, simply right-click, go to stroke path, make sure the tool is set to "brush", then click OK. U will have some annoying path lines, but U can get rid of it by hitting delete a coupla times. I must note that the pen tool is one of the hardest tools to master in photoshop. O_~

Time 4 da lecture! WOOT!

Well, at first, I've been doing my lineart using COPIC ink, then colouring in photoshop, but not NEmore. ^^ Now I'm only gonna use that 4 traditional art. As 4 photoshop lineart, I make a sketch dark enough 2 show when it is scanned, then I do mah lineart using the pen tool. Do not use the freeform pen tool.
It takes a bit of practice to get da lineart just right.

If U have experience with layers, it's much easier. (If the layers palette isn't showing, simply click "window", then "layers" if it doesn't already have a check mark next to it)

Well, actually it depends..I think you have to have a special subscription to be able to sell and buy work. I'm not really sure about that because I don't have that kind of sub. I just go and post stuff up there for people to view. =D
