I just read your blog and I just wanted to say that, yes, I do think that this website is in decline too. However, I also think that it's possible to save it though. I am not sure if any of the moderators keep up with the site anymore x.x but I have been here for quite a long time, I deleted my first account though and started this new one for a new start. And from what I can remember, this site started declining due to drama (there was a lot of it), and then several of the regulars left and just never came back. I like smaller communities too, so hopefully we can do something to  make this site more active like it used to be.

well according to stratodragon there are still 3 active staff members, and stratodragon at least is very active, assuring comments quite promptly on the forum and such, so it's not dead yet. 
so, I think what is needed is active participation and community building on the part of the community. if we all stay active, post arts, comment on arts, put games and questions on the forum, etc, we can keep this things alive. 
I'm new, so I can't know what you mean "active like it used to be" do you have some suggestion on how to increase positive activity?

When I was here the first time, I wasn't really in the forums much (I guess that I was young and shy at the time) but that may be a good thing to get up and going again. And I've noticed some "updates" here and there, so I kinda guessed that they were still around some... but not like they used to be, I guess? The last post that a mod has made on the front page was in 2013. x.x
Oh well there used to be 20-30 people online at any given time throughout the day. I mean there were more members than that of course, but they were on a lot more. I think that one thing that decreased the activity a lot is because, from what I can remember, people were getting modded for leaving too many comments on profiles... because they deemed it not a social website. So that really didn't help, but it seems like they may have gotten rid of that rule now though. It also seems like they've gotten rid of the "three a day" and "needs approval before posting" rules. That will help too. It wasn't always like that, it just became a thing later.
But it seems like you have a good formula. Add pictures, leave comments, games, etc. Contests always seemed to be a good thing too... like, some users would host contests where artists entered in themed (for the contest) pictures and then they judged who the winners were, and as a prize, they got some kind of artwork in return.
I really need to add more pictures here too, I'm just not sure what though. I don't really draw as much as I used to.

The reason you don't draw as much as you used to may very well be partly that you're not sure what to draw. contests are good for that, art exchanges such as we had on Storm-artists.net, what I love about art sites is they can help me try new things and get active artistically, if I let them. for example, I came here, saw that Rainbow-dash-rockz had an OC with a big tail, and I let that inspire me to action. I found my old lizard Guy, posted both pictures of him, and drew a few new ones, 
I challenge you to look around Fanart Central right now, find something that inspires you in some way, take that inspiration, make a quick sketch- doodle- cheese wax sculpture- fanfic- poem or whatever, and post it even if you aren't impressed with your work. do it now. the journey begins with a single step, art began with a simple visual representation of whatever enters you mind. 

I have been writing a lot more recently than I have been drawing, but I'll see what I can do. One thing that I really love is a show called Fringe, and I would love to try to get some fanart for that show up. I like drawing portraits the most, so I may start there. I haven't heard of a cheese wax sculpture though. That sounds interesting o.o

true. I even still exist on there...lol...http://jadis.storm-test.net. but I don't remember my password. 
they had been planning for a long time to update to this new beta version, I see it is dated jan 2013, so three years ago... they got the beta running but no progress was made on it after maybe a month or so. I'm not sure why they never went forward with it. Maybe they will some day and storm will return in a new form. 

I believe Storm-Artists will come back too. 

Storm is shutting down? Why? I just joined... :( And it seemed like such a cool place and people still cared about the forums and stuff... Oh dear. -.-
Maybe we can work on bringing a little life back into the forums here? Or try, anyway?

Perhaps some new topics on forum would do the trick.

I know right? Storm-Artists is used to be one of my favorite art website and now Storm-Artists is gone.😔

At least, we still have Fanart-Central. :-)
