Hey, how have things been going? It's been a while since I've logged in here and I hate that :x

yup. both. I just got 3 more panels drawn and inked just now, I'm gonna scan them now on my iPad, and then I will color them. 

OH okay, you're iPad.

that's all I've got to scan on right now. better than nothing. I got the photos emailed to my comp, will be resized and posted line arts [no color yet, sorry] in about 10 minutes. then I'll color.

I had to work on a church thing with my husband and my grandson came over and we had to do easter eggs and then I had to do something I had promised to do with my daughter. and a granddaughter from out of state called because it was easter, and a friend called....and then I had to clean up the mess from easter eggs...tomorrow my daughter has an out of town dental appointment, and I have some house work to catch up on also, and Tues day I work. in the evenings I babysit and I might have time to draw more panels and color them. I'm enjoying working on it and will do it when ever I get time in the next few days, BUT I might not have time. Wednesday I have to go out of town again because my husband has an out of town Dr appointment and can't drive himself to it. Thursday I work. etc. busy,busy, busy....not forgetting, just busy.....

but im worried myslef

I know I know your really want to see it done. I wish I had more time this week. 

yeah, because your daughter has out of town dental appointment and you have house work to catchup.

Hey Jadis, thank you for comment (and the fav) on my Unknown Creature No.16. I'm quite happy to see you enjoyed it. And yes, scanning does mess with traditional art, especially graphite the most. Usually I can scan them in relatively well but for some reason this one kept blurring a bit. Is what it is I suppose. Anyways, thanks again!

Hello Jadis, thanks for commenting on my Essence of Shirogane pic. Any and all feedback on this pic in particular is greatly appreciated. Positive feedback means I may be heading in the right direction(?) The game they all hail from is called Persona 4. And technically, in a sense, everyone in the image is a part/aspect of my focal being, Naoto Shirogane; (the character in the middle); hence the title bestowed to the image. ;-) Thanks again! :-)  

Hi, thanks for commenting on my Goo Monster. I don't have a highly extensive knowledge on fantastic shading either. Only some really basic knowledge on it; which I'm still trying to very slowly build upon to better my skills. I've only really been trying my best to understand shading and applying it more heavily to my images for a few years now. Granted my shading (from a highly skilled artists POV) isn't good at all. <=== (at least that's what I'm sure one would think. They'd point out all the flaws that I'm sure to miss. After all, just cause I don't know what is wrong, doesn't mean there is nothing wrong.) But, I enjoyed how they kinda made my images pop and somewhat more realistic and so regardless how bad I continue to apply (and attempt to develop) my shading skills.

Anyways back to the Goo monster's shading... When I first started shading it (around the eye area) I thought the shading started out not too bad looking, but, I kinda started feeling down the more I progressed on it's shading as (IMO) I felt it wasn't up to snuff like the eye area. Like my shading just kept getting worse the more I did it. Perhaps I was just getting lost and inevitably drowning myself in negativity. Either way, when I look back at it, it's not too bad I suppose, but, I know it can definitely be better. It's as I've said I got ways to go on improving my shading, and I'll continue to strive to better my skill set. It's all just a matter of time... and practice. On the positive side, I set out to improve my goo drawing skills and understanding of goo above all and I feel I accomplished that rather well.

Well, sorry for this wall of text and chewing your eyes off. (Btw, I know few Pokemon so I searched up Grimer and yeah, it does look like my goo monster a bite. xP)

I think it's sort of an optical illusion so if you look at it wrong it can flip over and become wrong in your brain. I think your shading on this looks good to me. I suppose if the goo were shiny goo perhaps adding some bright highlight might help? I don't do those much I don't know how. I notice you went darker underneath, that looks good.  anyhow good job for practicing.

Btw, out of curiosity, have you been able to log into the forums on here? I keep getting an error preventing me from doing so, (I already mentioned it to Stratadrake), I'm just curious if anyone else is having this problem or if it's just me.  

I"ve never had trouble getting into the forum, I logged in today and yesterday. I hope you got that problem corrected. 
I've discovered that no one seems to be able to make a new account here, since decenter or so. I reported that but have not heard anything back about it.

It seems to have been resolved. Be it either by luck or correction, or what have you. I'm able to get back in. I did see your post on that in 'General Help'. Went to create an account myself to check it out. And I have to say, that's a serious problem for those who want to join. This problem is impeding potential growth of user base on here.

Seriously impeding. Impeding is an understatement.  As is our only way of growing is finding people who already have an account and reactivating them.
