Not necessarily. We usually make up more than one character to interact with each other. For example, my characters are:
Maya
Yana
Lyra
Kame
Rije
Nikky
and Nadalyne.

We make them talk by saying things like

Maya: Yana, you need a bath.

Yana: Shut up, it's only been 3 weeks

Maya: My point exactly.

That's how I do it my way. Others use quotation marks. We make them do things by saying

Maya: *Pushes Yana in a tub* Wash yourself!

Yana: *Jumps out of the water* I'll do it when I need to!

But sometimes, people who use quotations don't use the stars. When they make them do things, they make them say

Maya: Pushes Yana into a tub "Wash yourself!"

Yana: Jumps out of the water "I'll do it when I need to!"

That's how it goes as far as I can think. There are a few other things, but I'll only go into that when you do it.

To be honest, this is my first time explaining this. I've wanted to, but I never met anyone who didn't already have 3,000 other comments on their profile. It goes like this, what I usually come to FAC (Fanart-Central) to do is, well, socialize. (I pretty much have no life) The other people on here usually pick a name for themselves on here. It doesn't necessarily have to be your real name, like, on here, my name is Rein. It's not my real name, but I like it. And so do the other people. What this site was mainly built for, I think, was to submit your art and/or stories. (Obviously) I have a few on here already. If you click the "View Gallery" with the folder next to mine or other peoples name, you can see it. I'm bored, and I don't have much time, so that's all I have to say right now.
