I've been on here for a couple months now. So I thought I'd update my profile thingy since I'm on a lot more.
My name is Nekogal2 after the Yu-Gi-Oh card (it's my fav). It was my friends PoisonousDahlia and Devilofdarkness (who I know in real life), who convinced me to put up some art on FAC.
I must admit I've grown fond of the site, and it has helped inspire me to try and be a better artist. I've done art since a young kid, and I adore learning new things about the subject.
I don't put up my OCs (other then me) because unfortunately I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to fear of people stealing my stuff.That's why as a warning (and I will write this calmly), do not steal ANY of my stuff. Because if you do I will ensure the heavens to rain thunder upon your head and home! And you will not know a day of happiness! Okay? ^^
But every one has been very nice so far. I've met two great artist, who I'd like to think as friends too. dms_cheeseshirted_chorusneko and shoujoneko, you should check out their art as well as PD and D's. And my little brother's art, he's Scary_Monkey_Show61R. But checkout my favorites list, for the other people who I think are cool.
Just a little bit about me (as if there wasn't enough). I like anime and know Japanese (not fluently yet). I know Hiragana and Katakana (and a bit of Kanji).
I'm also 18 years old and in Junior College.
I hope you enjoy looking at my art, I'm always happy to get comments. Hope we can be friends on FAC.

Do you have Photoshop though? If you like, I could send you good tutorial links that are helpful, or I could even do a tutorial myself!I want you to feel comfortable with computer programs, because they make art look so spiffy!!

Just a warning though... when you use that technique, darker colours may not show.If possible, I'd stay with Photoshop, it's a lot easier.

Ah! Corel!! It just so happens that it's the program we use at school, now I assume maybe it's Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
Just a tip on lineart, sometimes after adjusting the lineart, you still get bits of grey and white around the edges of the picture. What I find helps is to go into the object properties, and where it says 'Merge', scroll down and select lightness. This makes the crappy bits transparent.
I think you already know, you colour underneath the lineart on a different object.
I hope this helps... but if not clear or not working or I'm talking about the wrong program all together, just message me whenever on my profile.
