I do believe that if she keeps her word, the amount of flamers she gets will severely drop. However, there is still a difference between people who flame, and those who try and give a little advice - both shouldn't be tarred with the same brush.
For example: 'Your drawing sucks, nothing is right. Go away and never draw again' = flame.
'You could make it a little better by maybe changing the position of the hand a bit - perhaps have it curled into a fist' = advice.

Who said anything about 'stabbing'? I call my friends on their nonsense all the time and they return the favour. I'll admit that the majority of them can't draw, but I've been glad for all the times they've noticed something off or unbalanced with a piece of mine. :3

Then please realise that constructive criticism is not a flame. A good artist, regardless of technical ability and skill level, should be able to take criticism of their work. So any comments on the level of "the perspective is off/your grasp of anatomy needs work and here's where it looks a little wonky/et cetera" aren't meant to be attacks- they're meant to help.

As for comments like "omg slut/this sucks"? Those are flames and the posters deserve to get reported.

Most of the flames where like that, and they we'rnt just cristism, it was cruel. >.< And besides, she's had to deal with sooo many flamers, that those assholes have practically broken her. No, I admit it wasn't advice...but neither was it a full-blown 'you suck - go off and kill yourself flame'. It was sort of somewhere in the middle, pointing out the faults without giving any ideas on how to improve them.
I guess I was just a bit annoyed about the whole tracing thing, because normally I'm not like that at all - I am overly honest about stuff, but I do tend to favour either giving advice, or not saying anything... Unless, of course, the thing I'm commenting on is actually godawful and irredeemable, which Blair's artwork is not.

And I can certainly relate to what you've said on your profile - there were times while I was reading it that I was wondering whether you had somehow found a way into my head, because what you wrote was so exact to how I feel right now (and have felt for years), hehe.

I'm glad you don't flame - and I'm not just saying that because I'm relieved you won't flame my stuff - I daresay I'd deserve it if you did - but because flaming, for the most part, is utterly worthless. And even on the few occasions when it is worthwhile (this one, for example), it still has a certain lameness to it, even though it may get the desired result.
That's pretty much the only reason why I'm not going to apologise to Blair, because she was in the wrong. You can tell her though that if she keeps her word on the tracing thing, I will never, ever flame her again - and that's a promise.

Well, I didn't get that way overnight. I had to take an art class all of elementry, and draw pictures all over summer vacation to learn how to do that. :) Everyone thinks the eyes are hard. But their not.

lol, everything fines here. I just met another Yami Marik fan on Quizilla, and she was a Yami Yugi abuser! >:( grr...She said that Yami sounded old, and called him a loser! (But once agian I won't give names...I don't want her getting hate mail for her super-duper-double-trouble-mean oppions.) So slightly P.Oed...But other then that, perfectly fine!
