Well, anyways, you shouldn't feel guilty at all because I wanted to do you a gift art for bein' so nice to me, and commenting on my pictures, all of that stuff. ^-^
o_o I'm the one feeling guilty, becuse it's taking me so dang long to even get started on the picture. . .

*Notices something* You play the clarinet?! *GASP* ARE YOU A BAND NERD TOO?! *Gives you a big hug.* YAY!! ^_^ I play the french horn most of the time. (I actually know the flute and piano as well, but french horns seem to be wanted.)

Nah, questions don't really annoy me. The only time when they annoy me is when I'm strained and really stressed out. But it's summer so I'm lazzzzzyy...

When doing realistic pictures, I color with colored pencil. (It almost kills them.) Then in Photoshop, I slightly blur the picture where you can barely see the pixels. (Be sure not to blur TOO much or the viewer will be squinting, it should be able to be made out easily.)

When drawing chibis, (this is a new method for me), I make sure the lines are VERY solid on paper first... nice n' dark. (Be sure to do a light sketch first, so you can erase your mistakes without having a blaring line.) Then in Photoshop I fill in the basic colors and then shade from there. (Light, normal, dark.) And if the colors look a bit choppy, then I would use the smudge tool to fade one shade into the next.

These are some effects I find helpful:

1. Lense Flare
2. Lighting effects
3. Burn tool
4. Color Variations

(That's all I can think of for now.)

Oh, and if you want to make a cheerful background like in one of my pictures (Chibi Link and Zelda w/ Dolls). What you do is you use the magic wand to get rid of the white background and fill a color in, and then take the paint brush... make sure it's a soft brush and dot the background with different sized spots. (Refer to the amount of pixels used.)
