Hey, been away for awhile but I just wanted to say thanks again for all of your wonderful comments. ::hugs:: I really appreciate them...

As for me mine is similar.I scan in lineart at 350 dpi and trace over it.I select the lineart(Select>Color Range),make a new layer and fill the selected area with the desired lineart color.Deselect and fill flat color for background.Make layers for each element and usng brush tool color in flat colors.When done Preserve Transparency,and start shading w/ Airbrush and/or Lasso Tool.When done shading color in background and add desired effects.Then flatten image.

I was bored and decided to look around your gallery.I admire your art and ability.I've updated to PS CS2 but I'm still using CS.CS2 is really slow on my computer.And it doesn't make much of a difference.And what isyour standard way of CGing,'cause I'd like to compare it to my method.

Well, I dunno 'bout "perfect", ^^' but I guess I can fill ya in on some tips. I carefully select the parts I want to color using the polygonal lasso tool, then I color it using the brush tool. Always keep the lineart layer on top. For any color U want 2 use, make a new layer underneath the lineart. Rename the layer so U know which color is which. Also, U can do yer shading 4 that color as well. ^-^ The one thing I recently learned is.....I trace over my sketches to make lineart using the pen tool (setting the brush diameter at 1 pt), so I don't bother to ink it first. That's how I can CG my art in a slightly better quality now. From now on, I'm only going to use my COPIC multiliners for traditional art. O_~ NEwayz, I hope this'll help ya in many wayz. ^_____^

Ohhhhhhhh......U don't need 2 change the image size using the options bar, use the move tool on the tool bar to yer left (where all other tools are) ^^
It should be on the top right- hand corner by the marquee tool. It looks like an arrow with a weird cross thingy on its lower right. ^^

U should always make a background in a new layer. ^^
Or, if U DID do that, maybe U linked the other layers with it.
(This is known by the layers palette) The symbol looks kinda like a paperclip, so remove those so U will only be working with one layer. Make sure the part U want to move is active (indicated by a paintbrush symbol)^^

Don't hesitate 2 ask questions. O_~

Oh, the duplicate of the character image will be the "neon" layer, which is right behind the original coloured image. The layers palette should display two layers. Do the neon thing after U finish coloring. If U used layers to color, merge everything together first. ^-^

Well, I can probably tell U if U use photoshop. ^^' I've only done this once. Once I finish coloring an image, I erase the white background using the magic eraser tool. I duplicate the layer after I unlock the background layer by double-clicking it. Then I went to Filter>Artistic>Neon Glow, then made some modifications. O_~ Make sure the neon copy is behind the original. Also note that U can make the image bigger. ^___^ I hope this helps.
