Well, I shouldn't poke in your things as I just wrote to you today for the first time, but I felt a need to perhaps do a little something for you, sometimes what you just need is some advice from a neutral bystander. Also, everyone needs a advice once in a while.

You shouldn't take so hard on what people are saying, it's often misunderstandings because it's hard to perhaps explain what you actually intended, without being able to work in voice tones and facial expressions.

I would lie if I said I haven't noticed that sometimes you got a little cross with some people, but I'm sure somewhere none of the people involved have actually wanted a situation like this, but for the future of everyone, one shall not feel him- or herself too personally touched by someone else's writing, as you do not really know the person, and everything sounds a hundred times colder in text.

Do not let things knock you out, do net let your own abilities become your problem, in the end, art makes us all happy, and if you love it, that's the most important thing.

Hey hey, don't take it like I'm telling you off, trust me, you're already far above the average anime drawer back then. The best thing is that you're not making a fool out of yourself on your profile, like writing all kinds of things, like: "vampires are so awesome!!!", or "yaoi is totally hotz!", "I'm totally bi-sexual" and the worst, "I'm totally bi-polar, but I can totally control it, but I might go crazy anytime. OMG insanity is sooo cool".

You don't shove stuff like that in the faces of other people, already that makes you a much better artist, by personality out, which also will get you somewhere art-wise.

Well, you're no Leanardo Da Vinci, and everyone starts out somewhere, currently, improvement can be in order, but as long as you are happy about it and want to work and improve, I will say you're going somewhere.

Well, numbers of users for starters, also there were some more people with actual talent, those with talent have either moved on to DA or given up on FAC as it got dominated by shootty anime girl drawings getting ten comments, and those with skill getting 0.

I am saying it's wrong for people to add art that can perhaps be looking shootty, it's the fact that those who comment aren't trying to help them improve, and those who draw simply doesn't care about improving. Stuff like that, I myself also made shootty art those five years ago, at least I wanted to improve and moved away from the actual popular style to something I liked more.

That is very true, and they day you joined, you would at least have five people who would comment on your profile. As I joined in 2007, it sure was muuuuch different.
