it takes about 20 mins to style from scratch. lol, when i first got it cut like that it took me 2 hours though XD

indeed. you have to have a good understanding of the human anatomy...and animal characteristics for that matter. In this day and age, most art teachers don't even possess half the talent that some of their students have. It makes me laugh. I hated my old art teacher. He was so full of himself and tried to make me adopt his style...but it doesn't work like that. everyone has their own style.

yeah i hate that, i'd like to see them tell that to the likes of Tetsuya Nomura and Shinji Mikami who are making crap loads of dosh from specializing in 'the lowest form of art' T_T
it takes skill to be able to draw anime well, it really pisses me off when people demean it.
I'm gonna specialize in animation for the next 3 years...maybe game design, dunno yet, but i've had a taste of animation and i had to produce 50 drawings which only made up 5 seconds worth of animation....there's so much work involved @_@

yup, tis all good practice, my old art teacher hated anime and hated my chars...he sid they were good...but he just didn't like them. i can understand that...anime/manga is very stylized, which tends to be frowned upon when studying fine art T_T...ah well. i do fine art, fashion and photography. soon to go into animation so it's all good.

hehe, i'm writing bits down here and there in a document as i think of them, my english skills aren't that great so it will probably be in manga form. would work better anyway since i like drawing my chars. dunno. My eventually turn then into written stories. hows about u?
