Alright, well, when I do their eyes, I'll use Zuko as a example. Alright, I choose a dark gold and color in the part of gold you see in his eye. After that I use a sightly lighter shade and do a smaller shape inside it. I just keep doing that until I can't get any lighter or there's no more room.
