Yes, tomodachi means "friend(s)." I think friends forever would be something like "kagirinai tomodachi" (eternal friends) :P

Um...the translation for sou ne is in the reply for the comment that i used it in.

"-san" is an all-purpose suffix to be used on basically anyone, used to confer respect.

"-sama" is a suffix like san, but it confers much more respect.

"-dono" is another suffix that confers the greatest of respect.

Well, "kun" and "chan" are honorrific suffixes that you put at the end of one's name. "-kun" is a suffix normally used for little boys or among male friends. "-chan" is a suffix put at the end of a person's name to show affection. It is normally used for little children or among female friends.

"Senpai" (often misspelt as "sempai") means "upperclassman" and is used by underclassman to address students in higher grade levels.
