Okay, I saw your comment on one of my most recent pics (Evidence of a Sad End) and was just wondering what you needed help with. Is it the shading you're having trouble with? Let me know, and I'll offer what advice I can! It's no problem! ^ _ ^

Yes!! I cant seem to shade right... I do much better in mspaint, but I have no mouse... feel my fear? lol. The skin and hair is the hardest, any pointers? :*)

Well, normally, I put the lighter color on the paper first, and then the darker. After all the colors have been applied, I use a colorless blender (also sold by Sanford with the Prismacolor pencils) to blend the colors together.

If you're drawing something from a guide pic, then the only suggestion I have there is to use the shading on it as a template for your own pic (also be sure to have a reliable color guide handy if you're working from a black and white picture to begin with)

The colors I normally use for the skin are 'peach' and 'burnt ochre'! Hope this comes to be of some help! ^ ^

i have initial sketches done of the characters from the waist up. it will take a bit to get them done and uploaded. i found a nice site that had very nice reference pics to choose from. i only did one of each character but i did do a faces of inuyasha pic a few days ago that has some expressions on it. i will let you know when the finished product is up. :)

oops and to understand rpg chats better are when I was in a chatroom I was playing as 5 characters at once, and my friend Ryan did 2 and my other friend Josh did 3 at the same time, :) we did a Ranma one since we were all fans of the show, I am fixing to put up but I been working on making it into a fan comic thats why I was going to wait. :) also these 2 guys are my online friends I have knew for nearly 7 or 8 years ~ :) wheee

Hiya! Thanks for the comments!! I actually use the computer to color for that 'Our World' manga. I got one of those coloring program things. Pain to use, but they can be worth it. If you have a tablet, you can do it just as easily on paint. What's rpg chats? ^^' I envy your shading abilities!!

thanks for the comments. and btw, the reason that those drawings where big was because in the older version of FAC the used ot sized down the drawings, now in the new version all drawings where reverted to there normal size, thus making mine huge again =[[

To answer your question about Sailor Gemini's skin; I used the color 'peach' for the basic color, and 'burnt ochre' for the shadows. I also used a blending pencil to help even it all out.

It takes a bit of practice, but it's definitely worth learning! (believe me, a lot of my older pics before I started posting here could have used it!)
