Jumbie: *ears down* I know... im sorry...

Hakai: what would possess you to do such a thing? Now I have to fix this! A human never would have know you'd meddled.... *shakes head, storming out of the room* stupid, stupid, STUPID boy!

Jumbie: *looks down, speaking into the direction Hakai went* im not like you, Hakai. I'm mortal. You forget that I cant tell at a glance whether something is immortal or not.

Hakai: *bows slightly* My apologies, Miss, but my duties lie with my family, not with you. The laptop is not a necessity of yours, but we have need of it. I do not wish you cause him harm, and frankly... we need the money selling your laptop will bring. *straightens and inclines his head politely*

Hakai: *gives Jumbie more than enough time to get safely hidden, then unfreezes time, and as he does so he also returns all of Rains clones back to water, enhancing the moment with many a splash as they dissipate* Well, well. *still speaking in that whisper-voice* What's this? *tilts her chin up, forcing her to look in his eyes*

Jumbie: *tosses his head back, laughing* right! We'll see about that ;-) *spins around, and seems to split into two people, and Jumbie runs off down an alleyway while the other figure remains to confront Rain*

Hakai: *in a soft, almost whispered voice* Stop. *he holds up his hand, and time stops upon his word, leaving only himself and Jumbie unfrozen*
