Because in the gaming world, Originals and Rip-Offs are all there really is. In fact, with ANY product, there will always be some form of rip off. The sentence must go.Kavestion: Did you do your research? Castle Smurfenstein wasn't a rip off, it was a PARODY. It was a parody created by people younger than you are now, no less. On their official site, here is their legaleze:
1. we were minors
2. it was over 10 years ago
3. we were creating a parody
4. we did not make any profit from its creation
5. we owned a copy of the original bought at full retail price
6. and I don't think we even had to break any of the copy protection to make our alterations
So the reality is, it's not a ripoff, but a cute alteration by a high school student, and some friends. It's very important that you point this out.
