When Zak woke he found it still dark outside. Outside he heard thunder.

He got a bit of a shock when he saw it was after midnight. Why did I wake up he wondered. He turned around and saw Shard by the door. Lighting he thought picking Shard up. Then carried Shard outside. Shard leapt of Zak’s hand and into the air. Shard flew to the lighting and it struck him. Shard grew to an adult dragon as the lighting struck him. Then he flew and landed next to Zak.
Shard had grown to an adult and fully-grown dragon. Shard had grown a electric blue crest on his head which carries on as a frill down his back. On the end of his tail it was tail frill. His powerful black wings were feathery. His scar on his right cheek that was in the shape of a lighting bolt had stopped flashing when he had landed.

“Zak” said, Shard.

“You talk, ” said, Zak stunned with surprise.

“Of course I can” answered, Shard “All dragons can talk”.

“You are amazing” exclaimed, Zak going to touch Shard.

“Don’t touch me, you’ll get a shock there is still electricity running through me.” Warned ,Shard.
