sure no problem. when you go into the menu to select the option to save the pic for the web, down below it there should be a option called "automate" and a lil arrow beside it. open the sub menu and select the option of "fit image" or something like that. a lil window should come up over the usual photoshop window. one box will say "height" and the other "width". you can define the image size from there. most of mine are sized to fit 500 wide and 1000 high for pics in portrait and 1000 wide and 500 high for pics in landscape.
if, when you open the "save for web" option, the pic is smaller and you can see all of it then you have done it right. if you can still only see a tiny close up part of it, then come tell me exactly what you did to resize it and i'll see if i can help you out.
