Hi. for your story, why dont you have Ulrich go home withy her and he sleeps in the living room and then he herrs someone try to breack in and he runs up to Yumis room and the person who was thretening her is there and he fights him.

Ok, here's how it works. Have you ever seen the movie Bandits? If not, the opening scene is all of them in a group robbing a bank, but they've been called-in to the police. So, the cops are outside and are about to start shooting but then the robbers start fighting and get into a big argument. Then one shoots the other. After that, it goes back a couple months and the plot eventuly builds up to the bank robery. It turns out that the supprise ending was that they weren't actually trying to kill each other but were planning to get out threw the ambulance and away with all the cash. So, a story can show something happening in the future, then lead up to it and twist the end, so that you get something completely different and unexpected.
Though I would like to say every thing that's going to happen in my story, I can't.

#1: I just can't
#2: With all honesty, I haven't even figured out how this will all tie together. Heh. ^._.^

To answer your question, that first part was just a prologue, so it can be at a different time. They usualy are in a lot of books, but most of the time a long time ago. I took mine in a different direction. *Hint Hint* ^._.^
