Hey everyone, as I mentioned earlier, I've been going through some personal things.  I'm back, sort of, although I am still extremely busy.

Anyway, I've been working at a different job since I last posted.  It's much better, less stressful.  My husband and I have moved into our own house, and I am enjoying my garden, BBQing and entertaining...

I'm thinking I may once again become a little more active in the winter with submissions, or at least checking out everyone's galleries to see how they've evolved since I left!

ExactlamentoMan you are excellent in the style of realistic art (I go towards cartoons since I stink at realism). And could you please check out my gallery?

UchikiHi. Thanks for adding me to your fave artists' list. You're on mine as well. I like your art- especially the Star Wars arts, as I like Star Wars, too. May the Force be with you.

FirePhantom24The angle I drew the dragon at was a challenge, since I'd never really drawn from that angle before.... I had to redraw his right wing about a million times, but I'm rather pleased with the results. I'm glad you liked it! ^^

AriaGunnirWell, I notice you seem more comfortable with the B&W drawings, as they are in the majority in your gallery, but by no stretch of the imagination do you suck!  You're way too tough on yourself.  You might need some fine-tuning but from what I have seen you know how things are supposed to look.  What type of medium do you prefer when colouring?  I know a bit about markers, colouring pencils, conte, charcoal and a little about pastel crayons (oil based) as far as dry medium goes, so if you need pointers check out the Art Help Forum.  On the other hand, I have seen your B&W drawings, and they are really talented, so I would be very happy if you just wanted to do a B&W drawing.  Again, there is no rush...  Take your time.

bootersYour work is wonderful!
Thanks for all the fantastic comments you left me!
Most just look save and leave.
You took the time and left me something behind.... to me your words are encouragement to keep going when I think way do I even bother.... That is what its about. I hope you dont find this corny. I read and appreciated every comment!
Hugs

AriaGunnirLOL  If it's corny, I guess I like corny.  I understand that most people don't really explain why they like something, they just instinctively know when they like something and when they don't.  They don't always know how to explain *why* so easily.   I suppose when you're an older one like me, with an art background, you find it easier.

bootershaha im 39 and was schooled as a commercial artist. Have you read or picked up any of Lee Hammonds books. Shes the best teacher & a wonderful artist. Her book has been teaching me how to draw portraits.

AriaGunnirI'm close to your age (I'll PM you if you want, but I don't like to let everyone in the world know *blush*), with a background in Arts Education, B. Ed... I think I may have read or thumbed through a multitude of books, and checked online for tutorials.  Lee Hammond sounds familiar...  I've drawn from magazines and photos, too..
