In the hein period, these monks, or magicians, fought against the devil and used Wus(emblems of the elements)to fight the devil. These Wus consisted of elemental daggers made from coins which were used to fight of the demons in people. THANK YOU RIPLEY'S BEILIVE IT OR NOT!:D
