I consider myself lucky, compared to others. But if I'm just thinking about myself, I'd say my luck is there- it just happens to be BAD luck.

Yup, completely out from under me. But, I get hit with pucks and sticks all the time, so since I didn't break my neck, I just got up and kept skating.

You're lucky. I hate the things. They're necessary, but really freakin' uncomfortable.

It literally saved my life. My feet were level with the boards when I fell down, and I fell from a standing position, too, my legs just whoosh, and out from under me.

They're necessary, but a pain. Neckguards, too. I always had to wear mine loose, it just bothered me having something around my neck like that.

hmmm... how about a death note/wicked thing

So far, martial arts have been the most important thing to me on the ice/floor. For the fights I've gotten in to, then for the time a puck was coming at my head (no helmet), and the time I was falling down on my head, and I tucked and rolled, and managed to not break my neck.

I'm horrible with mouth guards. I'll wear them, but I keep spitting them out, because I hate having something in my mouth too deep like that, it makes me gag.
